Outstanding! Stopped here by chance before doing a little shopping at the Outlets. Service, food and drinks were all exceptional. Unfortunately we don't live close, so we won't be able to visit often, but it will certainly be our go-to spot when we're in the area!

Hubby and I stopped by this Mexican restaurant and had a pretty good experience. The food overall was okay, and the watermelon margarita was just alright. But the churros and strawberry tres leches dessert was absolutely delicious definitely the highlight of the meal! What really stood out the most was the service—10/10, so attentive and friendly. I’d come back just for the dessert and the great staff!

Brent was an amazing waiter and overall an incredible person. He was very patient with our table, professional and attentive. He made sure to check in often to see if we needed refills or had any questions. This was my family’s first dining at Carmelita’s, and it was an amazing experience. The food and drinks were amazing, the atmosphere was vibrant, the music was great, and the restaurant was very clean. I’ll be telling everyone to come try it- especially to ask for Brent, he will make sure you’re well taken care of!

A very disappointing experience. We came in at 8pm and they close at 9pm so I think the crew just wanted to get out of there. The carnitas was so dry it was a waste to even eat it. The burrito has a red “salsa” that could have used more flavor and salt.
Our server was barely around. We needed to walk to the kitchen to ask for hot sauce/salsa. And later to get the bill and refills on the water we had to track her down. The cost per entree was any $20+. We dropped over $140 to dine at this place. Gave a $15 tip b/c being a server is tough even though we got no service except to bring our meals from around the corner.
I’d suggest to dine somewhere else where the food is more authentic, flavors more developed and serve actually exists.
The interior is clean (although they were mopping up the place and sitting down the car around 8:30pm. It felt like they were short of putting on “closing time” music and flipping the chairs over.
Not impressed. Would not recommend. Will not return.
Note my rating system:
1 Star: I wouldn't recommend
2 Stars: Didn't hit my standards
3 Stars: Average (nothing special)
4 Stars: Above Average. Would recommend. Still looking for the 5 Star.
5 Stars: Top of their game. Great food. Great service. Would recommend and plan on returning.

First time here tonight and enjoyed it immensely. Met up with some girlfriends for dinner and drinks. We each had a couple of margaritas and some food. The margaritas were freshly made and not overly sweet. I enjoyed a plain lime margarita and the pineapple jalapeño one and both were fantastic. I got them on the rocks. I ate the Chipotle Chicken Ceasar Salad. It was very good as well. The chicken was tender, flavorful and not overcooked. I will go back.

Brent was a really great server.
Carmelita’s is a vibrant gem tucked just off 290 near the Town Lake subdivision, super convenient for a quick dinner or casual night out. The atmosphere is colorful, welcoming, and upbeat with great music playing softly in the background. Everything felt very neat and well-organized, which I appreciated right away.
Now let’s talk about the margaritas, sweet, strong, and dangerously delicious! I also really loved the tortilla chips; they were crisp and had a unique hint of lime that made them addictive. The portion sizes were generous, I couldn’t even finish my plate, and that’s saying something!
The service was exceptional from start to finish. Friendly, attentive, and quick without being rushed. My only (small) complaint is that the rice and refried pinto beans were served together in the same bowl. I personally would’ve preferred them separated since I’m not a fan of refried beans. But that aside, everything else was truly satisfying.
I left super stuffed and happy. It's definitely a place I’ll return to!
