If I could give this place a 0 stars I would. We waited for over 20 minutes for someone to bring us drinks, we never even met our server. 2 families came in after us and got drinks and were able to place their orders. This was a very horrible first time experience and we will not be coming back.

Food was out quick but everything was overcooked

Fried Gator was great, everyone was nice. Gumbo needs some work to watery and the roux tasted scorched. Would definitely stop again.

WOW!!!!

The food was actually really good, but as a first time customer, I didn’t feel as accommodated as I should have. It kind of took away from the overall experience, even though I was excited to try this place. June 8th I was there to be exact.
I mentioned to the waitress “ Jaylon or Jayla something like that ( my apologies if I got that wrong)
Your restaurant has a 5lb pound for $40 crawfish special which is great! I started with 3lb bc I didn’t think I could eat 5. But I was telling her it was so good , can I order another 2 and get it for the 5lb special? Without hesitation, she told me no.
🙄 I’m sorry but being in the industry and seeing I was the only 3rd table there I felt she could have at least asked n say let me speak to my manager and see what I can do.
I finished my drink and left. ..

Boudin balls are the best.. service has been good and mediocre depending on the night. Overall it's a good local joint.

Called in my order for pickup the person who took my order was very nice and helpful since it was my first time ordering from there. Unfortunately the food had no flavor / seasoning
I asked for blackened catfish they gave me 2 small pieces of tilapia plus they forgot one of my sides.
I didn’t even bother going back to get it.
The online menu and pictures look great but sadly it doesn’t taste as good as it looks.

Will not go back :(

Ambiance is great, customer service was excellent, food is plentiful!!!!! I ordered Willie’s Bayou Platter and it was fresh and hot. All taste buds are not created the same. I was impressed with everything. All that was missing is a creek, river, dock, lake or swamp! Great sweet tea!

Had the shrimp platter and the only shrimp that were even edible was the fried. Stuffed shrimp were terrible. No one else at my table of 4 liked their food either. Service was great though.

Never had a bad meal at Floyd's. My favorite place for broiled oysters and fried catfish.

Been here twice. Friends love it here. Unfortunately for us while the first visit was 5 stars the second was really 1 or 2, so I’ve gone for 3 overall. Fried green tomatoes and crab cakes were delicious last month. When we came back recently the fried shrimp platter was very ordinary and lacking flavor. We also had fried jalapeños and the boudin filling was an odd mushy texture, tasted of nothing and almost seemed wet. If our bar tender had been a little more friendly it probably would have helped, but while he was very efficient he was not warm and welcoming. I don’t want a conversation with my server but I do like to be acknowledged and maybe they ask how I am today or something. The only times he spoke to us were to ask if we were ready to order. Before we left a man sat next to me. When the server approached him and asked him what he wanted (again, no welcome) the man asked about drink specials. He was just told “no sir”. The correct response in my opinion would have been “sorry sir, our happy hour finished at 6.” We will try it again simply because our friends rave about this place, but next time for lunch when it’s not such a disappointment if the food is bad.

It's the gumbo for me! A great TX style gumbo.
