$98 Brunch Mistake I’ll Never Repeat – Gochas Breakfast Bar (Fayetteville, GA) I joined the Toast waitlist at 12:00 PM, where we were notified via text and on the site that we were #10 in line with a 35–45 minute wait. By 12:35, we were updated as #4, so we left our house and headed over. What should have been a smooth system turned into one of the most frustrating dining experiences I’ve had. Waitlist and Seating • When we arrived, the hostess acted as though my request for a booth (noted in advance for my mom, who recently had knee surgery) was a burden. • Instead of honoring the request, she tried to seat us at one of the tiny filler tables by the front door. • After waiting again, we were eventually moved to a booth — but the lack of care set the tone for the rest of the visit. Service Issues • It took 20minutes to be greeted, and then another 40 minutes inside before we received drinks or water. • They were out of sweet tea, which is a basic Southern staple and my mom’s go-to. • Our server struggled with the order — I requested salmon croquettes (on the menu), but she insisted several times that I must mean salmon Benedict. • Drinks (strawberry lemonade) arrived late, warm, and without ice. Refills were not free, which we only found out when the bill came. Food • When the food finally arrived, the server explained their system was down, causing more delays. • The salmon croquettes were decent, but the grits were bland and uninspired — nothing special. • For a brunch spot that tries to stand out, the food didn’t come close to matching the hype or the wait. The cutlery was wrapped in napkins were completely filthy. We had to eat with plastic. Environment • We noticed poor management throughout: large parties were left sitting for hours with empty glasses and boxes while smaller tables were ignored. Staff seemed focused on bigger groups, likely because of the automatic 20% gratuity for parties of 5+. • Restrooms were unisex, one was out of order, and when someone opened the broken restroom door, a foul odor spread into the dining area. That should never happen in a restaurant. The Bill • For two entrées and salmon croquettes, our total was $98 (tip included). • We were also incorrectly charged for a lemonade refill, which the server only removed after I pointed it out. • Menus are only available by QR code, and before you even see the food, you’re met with a long list of rules and notes about tipping. It came across defensive and unnecessary, especially given the service we experienced. Final Thoughts I came in wanting to love Gocha and support a Black-owned brunch spot. But between the two-hour waitlist process, dismissive seating, inattentive service, bland food, unclean environment, and questionable billing, this turned into one of the worst brunch experiences I’ve ever had. I don’t mind tipping generously — I regularly leave 20–40% for great service — but this was absolutely not worth $98 for two people. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend Gosha’s until they make major improvements in management, service, and guest experience.
Best breakfast in town! The blueberry pancakes are the best I have ever had. I could have licked the plate they were so good. Our server AB was great - very personable, attentive, and had great recommendations. The atmosphere is lively and friendly. We may have found our new go to breakfast and brunch spot. Would definitely recommend!
Great food and very friendly service. Will definitely come back!

Hello. I’m a first time customer and saw the food truck parked out in front of the restaurant. First thing was that there is not a menu posted. I had to scan a QR code but I had no phone. I ordered the pizza and it stated that it is $17.95 but rang up &16.95. I asked for a lemonade she didn’t let me know it was only one flavor…luckily I like peach. My other concern is the young lady never told me about a take out fee. It was $3.73 which is high. I did ask. She stated that it is based on what you order. Lastly, I asked for NO tomatoes as I waited 35 minutes for a pizza received a pizza full of tomatoes. Shay the manager stated no refunds due to the mistake/ incompetency of their staff. They wanted me to wait an additional 15 minutes for a remake. I could have died if I didn’t check my food and the Manager was not concerned but my LIFE is important. So if I ordered multiple items it would be higher and no one informed me. I feel that is not the right way but I am one person. I will not be coming back. Thanks!
I loved visiting them! I really liked the flavor of the fillings in the empanadas and cakes. Luckily, on Instagram they indicated that on low temperature days they do not work at the usual location, I wrote to them and was able to get to where they were located. Thank you and keep up the good work!!

I love Gocha’s foods. I usually order empanadas, tequeños, and pastelitos for gatherings or simply to have and enjoy anytime. The green sauce is the best! The owner also bakes the most delicious cakes.
Delicious empanadas and excellent attention from the gochas deli team, I recommend them 100%
