Gringo's Mexican Kitchen {Cypress}

The restaurant was clean the staff was friendly and we were seated quickly. Our server Joey was excellent. Very attentive and has a great personality. We did have a mix up on our order from the kitchen. They verified it was entered correctly just plated wrong. The manager can by to apologize for the error and removed the meal from out ticket. He did this even though they brought a new plate and we were fine to pay for the meal. Very good experience.

This is one of our favorite places to eat. Our server Jonathan Bock was awesome. He kept us entertained with his witty jokes and his excellent sense of humor. He is by far the best waiter. He checked on us several times, order was correct and he kept our drink glasses full. Next time we dine here we will ask for Jonathan B. Food was excellent as usual.

We absolutely love this location! The food is always fresh and delicious, but what really made our visit outstanding was our server, Joey. He’s by far the best server we’ve ever had at a restaurant extremely kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. We never had to ask for a thing because he was so quick and on top of everything. Thank you, Joey, for making our dining experience such a pleasure, and thank you Gringo’s Kitchen for consistently serving amazing food. Highly recommend!

Shareable plates we get the fajitas and shrimp plate with an extra chalupa and then I add fajita to it and it's perfect! Drinks at the bar are great staff always willing to make a fresh off menu drink option for me

I was coming in to eat at 290 Gringos and had a very disturbing encounter with your security guard. He was parked right in the middle of the parking lot blocking both sides. His vehicle had a light bar but it was not on, so I had no idea he was security. When I honked my horn so I could get through, he jumped out of his vehicle, came up to mine, and started yelling at me in an irate and aggressive manner, demanding if I honked. He continued to go off, creating a very hostile situation.

As someone with over 11 years in law enforcement, I can confidently say this guard is a serious liability. He was armed, and I had to watch his hands the entire time to make sure he wasn’t reaching for his weapon. This type of behavior is extremely dangerous, unprofessional, and unacceptable.

I was simply trying to come in and eat at your restaurant, but instead I was met with intimidation and aggression from someone who is supposed to provide safety. This guard should not be representing your establishment, and in my opinion, he needs to be terminated immediately before something worse happens

Joey and Valentina were absolutely amazing! From the moment we sat down, they were warm, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. Joey was quick with refills and checked on us often without being overbearing, and Valentina had such a friendly and genuine energy that made the whole experience even better. They worked so well as a team and made us feel truly taken care of. Great service like this makes all the difference—thank you both for making our visit so enjoyable!
