I have been seeing this place pop up on my feed for a while with nothing but stellar reviews. I’m kind of a bbq snob so I had to go see what the hype was about. I am smoking a brisket today for Super Bowl Sunday, but for some reason the wife was craving a brisket sandwich. We piled our boys in the car, headed over and loaded up on Have Mercy BBQ. We ordered a brisket grilled cheese, a couple of sliced beef sandwiches, a brisket plate, and pretty much all of the sides they have to offer. The brisket was super moist and tender (I did order cut from the point) with a great bark and perfect smoke ring. The fat was rendered so well! The wife and my older son both went nuts for the sliced brisket sandwiches. My youngest said it was the best grilled cheese he’s ever eaten. Potato salad and Jalapeño cole slaw were great. The egg in the potato salad made it something between deviled egg and potato salad and the Cole slaw was crisp, sweet and tangy with a tiny hit of heat from fresh Jalapeño. The brisket was the star for sure. We like Corkscrew, Truth, Tejas, and all the best bbq spots. I will gladly rank this pit master among those at the top for Texas BBQ! My only regret is waiting so long to go try it.

As a favor, a friend of mine catered my office with Have Mercy Barbeque. Imported all the way to Alvin, TX. What a spread! Brought a loaf of potato bread, brisket, pork belly (super good!), and sausage! The Barbeque Sauce is like a Sweet Baby Ray's. I had to make sure it wasn't pudding, before smearing my plate up. I really appreciate the meals and wholly recommend the establishment!

David makes the best authentic Texas BBQ I’ve had going as far back as I can remember. All of the food was fantastic, in particular that brisket and sausages! David himself is a super humble and cool guy, you have to stop by and meet him and try his food.
