I visited this location today and, although the doors were still open, an employee told us they were closed. The posted Sunday hours state an 8:00 PM closing, but we arrived at 7:20 PM and were turned away. After driving 25 minutes, this was both frustrating and inconvenient. My husband even went back to confirm the hours, and another employee said they closed at 7:00 PM. This inconsistency and poor customer service have left us very disappointed, and we will not be returning.

Was a great spot but… I literally paid 30 dollars plus tip for a child’s plate. Always friendly service. I just used to get more bang for my buck a few months ago.

The food was good, but the fact my family had to fight flies and knats attacking us at our table and getting drinks made this a horrible experience. I'd expect that at a back yard barbecue... not while dining in somewhere.

First time here ... Always looking for good bbq. The brisket sandwich was one of the best I have ever had. Flavorful and tender piled on high. And the French fries ... Can't say enough ... These are the way French fries should be made ... Fresh cut ... Not the string potatos you get from elsewhere. And compliments to the employees ... From greeting at the door, ordering and serving. Great crew. I'll be back for sure ....

Visited Killen’s during lunch. Ordered the special…smoked prime rib. It was good but had minimal smoke flavor, both the sides were great. I went with the double starch… potato salad and the mashed potatoes. Server was great. She came by several times to check on us and to let us know when the rest of our order would be out. The only disappointing part of our visit was the onion rings. They were extremely salty to the point we just couldn’t eat them.

Brisket is always on point. The broccoli and rice casserole is addictive

First time customers. My wife and I visited a few days ago. Overall it was ok, nothing was great, nothing was terrible. Meats were bland, baked beans were very good, potatoe salad was ok and mashed potatoes were cold. BBQ sauces were ok, but reminiscent of store bought. Overall food was ok, but no way we can justify just ok food at Killen’s prices. Significant number of flies and gnats inside. Likely will not return, unless we try a different location.

First time going and I was not impressed. The floors were very slick, there were flies all around, and it was very warm inside. The food was okay, I liked the variety of sides available and the portions were decent. I would go again if someone in my group wanted to go, but I won't be suggesting it.

Food is pricey but good, the place is full of all sorts of flies, can not enjoy the food thinking about if flies are getting into the food and you spend most of your time defending your food from bugs

Best beef ribs around! Beats Black's BBQ by a longshot..So glad we found this place here in Houston! (< 1st review)
Last year I raved about this place...Since then it has greatly declined. The beef rib platter (rib w/2sides) was offered at a reasonable price $25-30. Now it's gone! Only the rib itself is sold for $34 a pound. My single rib came out to $54 and it wasn't even half as good as back then. Overpriced and lower quality. They should've kept the original deal in place.
