I was extremely disappointed with my experience.
The brisket tasted old and was very dry. The rib was the smallest I’ve ever been served and also tasted like it had been sitting out far too long. The mac and cheese was dry, lacked seasoning, and had no flavor at all.
I attempted to call the restaurant five times to address the issue, but no one answered. The automated system repeatedly hung up on me and never connected me to a team member, which made the situation even more frustrating.
For $33, this plate was absolutely not worth the money. I expected fresh, flavorful barbecue and decent customer service, but unfortunately received neither.

They took away the free self-serve side bar of jalapeños and onions. Now you have to ask them for it like a peasant standing in a soup line. This might seem like a small complaint, but it’s a clear message that they are cutting back on costs and starting to tighten the screw on their loyal customers paying top-shelf barbecue prices here. Enjoy it until it closes… (or not).

Family wanted to try Killen's for the longest and when we found out there's one in Cypress and in the mood for bbq, we didn't hesitate.

We visited on a weekday close to 3pm and there was absolutely nobody there. The restaurant had a bar where you can order drinks but we decided to take to go.

My hubby and I ordered 1 lb of brisket (took the option of moist vs lean), whole chicken, sliced brisket sandwich, brussel sprouts and potato salad. They gave us bbq sauce, pickled red onions, and white bread on the side.

The brisket was tender and moist like it should be and just melted in my mouth. The chicken was also juicy and flavorful. Not overly smokey like other bbq spots that we have been to. The potato salad was seasoned well to include the brussel sprouts.

The reason I did not rate it 5 stars because of the price. You will see what I'm talking about when you check out the menu....we will come back and try other items on the menu.

I went today for the third time. The first two times they were closed. I work in the area and always pass by this place. I've heard good things about it. I was disappointed the first two times. Today I went early. It was worth the weight. I ordered the three meat plate. Received moist brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. With double Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was probably the best I ever had. The ribs were good. The pork was good. The brisket was good. Im glad I stopped by and finally got to taste this bbq.

Food is good but pricey. I had moist brisket, broccoli/ rice/ cheese and baked beans sides. Was there with a group of friends in afternoon for an early dinner. No greeter or hostess, which is odd for any restaurant. Had to flag someone down to get a beer. They appeared to have a good draft beer selection, but several kegs were empty. One of us had a beer that was spoiled; it smelled and tasted awful. They replaced it at no charge, of course. Seating is pretty much self-serve, as is the food, buffet style. Again, food is good, service could use an upgrade.

The BBQ is not the same quality as the original Killens in Pearland, but the macaroni was still pretty good! The worker was kind. I appreciate the drive through option.

I call so many times to ask questions about the menu and catering and it always says team members are busy. Just go to spring creek across the highway. PICK UP THE PHONE!

Today was my first time eating at Killen’s BBQ on 290 freeway in Houston. I had the lean brisket and it was so tender! Rib and baked beans were very tasty too. I was hoping they had peach cobbler but it was not available. A lady employee came to our table several times and asked if we needed anything else, so she was very, very attentive. I regret not getting her name so I could mention it here on my review.

Over all, food is good. I dont know what is up with their soft drink machines but neither one of them have been on point since they opened this place up. Come on Killens, yall killen me let's get it straightened out? And what about all the flies? Can't sit and enjoy a good meal with a good drink. Can't compare this location with the Pearland location at all. Disappointed.

Go to spring creek or just spend 30-40 bucks for a couple plates at a chain like chilis or hell love garden. I could sure get 2 meals for 30 bucks at Olive garden.

Service was fantastic. But the food is way overpriced, and it was not that good as expected at all.

It's so good we ate too much. We had to take a meat nap after the meal. I'm so plugged up with bbq, I won't have to go for 2 days. Now THAT'S five star bbq!
