Marvino's Italian Steakhouse

Service was slow and they rarely checked back with us to see if we needed anything. The never even presented us with the desert options and we had to wait 25 minutes before I had to wave someone down for the bill.

A genuinely great ambiance. A combination of Italy and other Western Med vibes. We'll be back often.

Everything about Marvino's is great EXCEPT for the steak. Order anything else but the steaks are extremely disappointing.

We were with a group of 8. It took a very long time to get our seafood tower appetizers and for the price we paid, they were quite underwhelming. Our drinks and entrees were good and the staff was nice. We had a good time, but unfortunately the time it took in the beginning and the quality of the appetizers did not meet our expectations of this restaurant.

I recently dined at your venue & was blown away. The service was on point. The flavors of the food were exquisite. The cocktail ( cosmopolitan ) & Malbec were delicious. I absolutely loved the ambiance. It was honestly so romantic. It wasn't noisy or quiet; it was just right. I highly recommend this venue to anyone in the Cypress area. YELP - five stars ✨

The food at Marvino's was excellent as usual. However, our waiter was less than accommodative. He seemed perturbed that we had a few special requests (such as substituting vegetables for pasta due to a low carbohydrate diet). When my wife's filet was served it was cooked “medium well” not “medium” as she had ordered. The waiter took it back to the kitchen, had it cooked even more and brought it back as “well done”. When she questioned the waiter, he replied, "If you want it “medium” we will have to bring you a completely new steak.” His tone was more combative than helpful. She sent it back again and didn't receive her entrée until the rest of us were finished with ours. The manager stopped by our table and tried to apologize but it didn't help solve the situation. Mistakes happen and I can understand issues when the restaurant is busy as it was on New Year's eve. But when you are paying exceptionally high prices, you expect exceptional service (certainly not a combative tone from the waiter). I love Marvino's, but it's going to be a long time before I can convince my wife to return.

Atmosphere and staff were excellent, presentation of meal was as you expected from a fine dining experience, this particular night my meal was not over the top as I have come to expect. The gulf Red Snapper its self was mediocre at best, the rest of the meal and dessert were exceptional.

Today, December 25, I went to have lunch at Marvino. It was my first time at that restaurant, and I was surprised by how bad the linguini pescatore I ordered was. The pasta was overcooked and, on top of that, it was cut, as if someone had taken scissors to it. The sauce didn’t deserve any praise either. It was a complete disappointment.

The ambience and food is good but the service was sub par. It took us a while for the waitstaff to take our order (party of 2) and get our food.

We had to hunt down our waiter to actually get our food while everyone around us who came in after us and had larger parties, were served their food promptly.

After we received our food, it was good but when it was time to get our bill, our waiter was no where to be found.

We finally went up to the bar and settled our tab.

There were maybe 5 other tables of guests in whole restaurant. Totally unacceptable service for a non-crowded time.

There was never an apology of any kind for the service.

We will never be back.
