Had dinner there the day after Thanksgiving. Let me start off by saying I don't like sit-down restaurants that make you pay when you order (fast-food style) but still expect you to give a tip (because a waiter will serve you). How are you supposed to tip before your service? That said, I'm giving two stars for the food because we ordered 5 things and two were good, the rest wasn't. I would not recommend the sweet potato fries as they looked and tasted like they were frozen. And the Mac&cheese was really bad. Grey/dull looking and bathing in grease. We sent it back asking for a different batch. But we got the same thing the second time around.

The service is good. The food is average. Prices are quite high for the portion sizes. They offer free soft serve ice cream cups/cones, which is a nice little treat. The bathrooms are clean. The dining room is spacious. The restaurant is well maintained and has plenty of parking. There is a small, fenced-in, covered patio with picnic tables and a little turf area, but it's quite small. It's big a enough for kids to have a place get out some energy but it's not a playground. Still, if you have kids who hate to sit still, this could be a decent alternative to sitting indoors. I was underwhelmed with the food, but the overall experience was nice enough. I'd return with a group if others picked it, but I wouldn't choose to return to this restaurant if it were just my family.

Awesome food and atmosphere at Mia's. I had the chicken fried steak with jalapeño gravy which was so tasty. The sides I had as well were very good. Will definitely be visiting again when we next visit Houston 👍

Great customer service and atmosphere. I had the meatloaf with jalapeno gravy, definitely my fav! (Green beans had bacon and onions 😋 and mashed potatoes) Home cooking at its best!

We live in Cypress and heard good things, so we finally stopped by for lunch and wow, it was a bit pricey at $50 for just the two of us. I am okay with paying up, but lets face it, this is mostly food served in a basket. The front end staff were in a rush and not very friendly although it was early and not very crowded. The food was okay, the mac and cheese was excellent, but the shrimp tacos were flavorless and the sweet potato fries were soggy (as others had noted). Portions were large, but you are paying for them. No one ever checked on us after dropping off our food.
