The French onion soup is terrific. It was the best I've ever had.

Had the best 70th birthday celebration there. Monika and her staff did amazing food and service for 20 ladies. Highly recommend their wine tasting evenings as well.

Crepes are really good, especially the Norvegienne with some eggs as an adder.

Today was amazing! Real French Onion Soup. Real Quiche. Smiles. Great service. Even met the owners' family. Perfect start to the Christmas season. Plan to book birthday party in January 2026.

Very nice place. I love French food. I will definitely be back. I had a savory crepe, with ham and cheeses and tomato and had some oregano in it. Very tasty, I liked having a small salad too. Got try a bite of quiche and it was very good too.
I got the apple strudel crepe and took it home, I thought the crepe was good but the strudel ok. But I will def try others and can’t wait to try other things here.
My mother is gluten and dairy free, she was able to find thing to eat. The waiter was very helpful in answering her questions

This was my first time here.

I was the only person eating, so the service was quick. I am not sure how it will be when they are busy. There was only 1 waiter at the time.

I ordered the combo quiche & soup that came with a small salad. The quiche florentine was a good portion size and had good flavor. I was surprised it had onion because it wasn't listed as an ingredient on the menu. I did end up picking some of the larger pieces out. The soup of the day was tomato basil which seemed homemade. I always worry some places are just grabbing something out of a can.

I also had a regular coffee. It was okay, not very strong.

The design of the restaurant is cute and would be a nice place to meet up for a brunch. I thought the 80s music was a bit loud, especially with there only being 3 people at the time. There wasn't a need to drown out other sounds.

My wife and I ate there last week. Exceptional food, service and decor!!! I had the omelette, wife had their stew, both exceptional. We then splurged on a pastry and crepe. Incredible, can’t wait to return!

Mona's French Cafe is a hidden gem in Cypress. I had a delicious croque monsieur and a basket of fries. The sandwich was cooked to perfection. The restaurant has an inviting ambience, and I look forward to going back again soon. I definitely need to try some French pastries on my next visit. The owner Mona was working and very friendly; she has a great restaurant.

Food here is not authentic. They serve processed Costco cheddar cheese in a French crepe, which is unheard of. The waiter was more concerned about a one-year-old playing with the menu (the worst-case scenario would incur a $1 loss for the business) than showing the basic standards of hospitality. I would never return here. A ne jamais revenir. Domage.

The service at this restaurant was disappointing, and the food was just slightly above average. The espresso was poorly made, very light instead of rich. The quiche was undercooked, and the crepe tasted more like a tortilla, with deli-style chicken rather than the shredded chicken listed on the menu. The onion soup was decent.
What really left a bad impression was the service: the waiter abruptly took the menu away from my 10 month old baby, even though she wasn’t damaging it and the restaurant was nearly empty. When we asked if the eggs for the Croque Madame could be scrambled, he flatly refused. Overall, not a pleasant experience.
