The Portabella Veggie Sandwich was mediocre at best. The bell peppers were barely cooked, which really affected the texture and flavor of the sandwich. It was not what I expect from Newk’s.
More concerning was the peanut butter & chocolate cake slice. It did not taste fresh at all. The texture and flavor suggested it was old, and I honestly can’t believe it was sold to a customer in that condition.
This was not a good experience overall, and for the price paid, the quality was unacceptable.

My family & I love to eat at Newks Eatery in Cypress. We used to live in the Cypress area, and could go more often, but now we live in Tomball, closer to Spring-Klein, so we can only go every once in a while. I would love it if corporate would open up a location near here. 🤩. The food is always fresh & tasty, the tea delicious, and the freshly made strawberry cake…. Sooo good!
The food is always delicious, my 1 yo and 4yo looove the bread sticks and Mac n cheese. The shrimp and avocado salad is my absolute FAVORITE! We love coming here
