Really good food and fast service. Started coming here because they have lunch specials until 4 PM, whereas it is 3 PM at all other Asian restaurants, which is just too early for me to make it in time.
Only downside is you don't get an egg roll with lunch specials and I LOVE egg rolls.
One more thing to keep in mind: the name Spicy chen is a misnomer.... The dishes aren't actually spicy at all. Even if you order extra spicy, it's just barely spicy.
I enjoy their hospitality and food every time I go there.

It was an overall wonderful experience. The only negative thing is that I feel that the vegetables in the sweet and sour chicken were undercooked.
I don’t usually like egg drop soup but my wife had me try it here and it was delicious!
Serving sizes are generous and the staff was friendly and attentive. Will be back!

Update: I truly appreciate the owner's response. Literally like taking ownership to do better and acknowledging customer feedback. While what's done is done, it shows taking the initiative and great customer service etiquette. I had certain expectations on the shrimp fried rice. The shrimp tend to be the star of the show. So was looking for them to steal my taste buds (a corny play on words- like steal my heart, get it? Lol).
On the late night hunt for some delicious neighborhood Asian take-out cuisine, this gastronomic seeking experience was sorely disappointing. Surfing Google for a later night Chinese food place, the cute & flavorful name elicited a desire to try.
Placing the order was easy and courteous enough (why 3 stars instead of 2). However, upon readily looking forward to digging into the tightly packed, generous portion round container of shrimp fried rice, the army of pink shrimp jumped out as rather loudly pink and rather artificial looking.
Had a feeling these were not going to be appetizing and, unfortunately, was not pleasantly surprised.
The initial few bites ate decent: Hunan-like and savory. But going in for more bites, those artificial looking pink shrimp overpowered the dish. This basically ruining the rice and my taste buds (e.g., odd aftertaste). Hence army, there were just too many of them.
Would rather have had a less generous amount of shrimp (e.g., 6 or so) throughout a bowl of rice- shrimp that that are succulent and/or sautéed to deliciousness vs. a cluster of these pink suckers. Also ordered egg rolls (a pack of 4)- these were quite small but satisfying. Considering the cost around $12 for rice and only $3.99 for mini egg rolls, was highly hopeful this would be a marriage of a delicious late evening dinner but [obviously] it wasn't.
A creature of habit to order the fried rice and egg roll @ just about any Chinese takeout restaurant bc, IMO, if these aren't impressive, chances are the other items on the menu won't live up to pleasing the palate. Granted the egg rolls were decent. But quite disappointed that this version of shrimp fried rice here didn't deliver on deliciousness.

This place is usually empty when I come even though the food is stellar. Had the seasonal braised muscles and they were amazing. Girlfriend had the orange chicken and she loved it.

Front desk was great, he was very nice. I ordered to go. The food was super hot when I picked it up, which I Loved. I don't remember what ny husband ordered, but it was really good. I ordered the Gen tsos, it was bad. Very breaded, little chicken. Tasted like bad oil. The chicken fried rice for my son, he wouldn't eat it. My husband and I ended up sharing his plate.

Unfortunately, this was my first and last time ordering from this place. I found what appeared to be a long chicken nail in my child’s chicken lo mein. Since then, I haven’t been able to eat chicken at all, and this incident happened months ago. While they offered to refund the cost of that specific kids plate, I feel it wasn’t enough to make up for such a bad experience. I don’t think it was entirely their fault, but I expected better compensation given how serious the issue was. I don’t even wanna post a picture of what I found. I can only hope they choose their chicken wisely.

First time trying this place!
Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had! I ordered the garlic chicken, crab puffs and egg roll.
My egg roll was burnt. Crab puffs undercooked and my garlic chicken didn’t taste like garlic chicken at all. I definitely do not recommend! Waste of 30 dollars.

Got the orange chicken dish with veggies.
Overall good. It was a bit soupy - wish the sauce was reduced more to be less watery.
