The waitresses need a lot of work.. always with some sort of "annoyed" type vibe. I've come here many times and only one has had the best of attitude. The others seem to pick and choose who they want go be nice with. It's hardly ever a friendly welcome, even on the phone.

Ordered through Door Dash, hubbys food was delivered and not mine. Not asked for anything above and beyond but the Door Dash driver told me it’s not his problem. Just want what we paid for. Is that asking too much?
Fresh, made to order breakfast. I always enjoy their Amanda's Breakfast rojos.

I took my wife and kids for a Sunday lunch. I've been going to taqueria arandas since i was a kid. The food is usually decent. We ordered a torta, gordita, burrito, and 2 children's plates. The waitress was so friendly and asked if i wanted mozarella melted cheese or queso fresco in my burrito. I remember they used to use queso de quesadilla, which is similar to mozzarella but better. I like melted cheese, so i said the mozzarella was good. The food was not great but wasn't bad either. When I bit into my burrito, it had queso fresco. I let the waitresses know and she was very nice. She took they burrito and had it remade for me. I asked if she could make it to go because we had finished eating and it would be good for dinner. A few hours after I got home, I decided to eat some of my burrito. I bit it a couple of times and didn't notice the melted cheese. So i bit again and found it had queso fresco again. I would usually just let it go but felt they needed to know they needed to improve this aspect of their restaurant. When I arrived at Arandas again, the waitresses' expression completely changed from before. I told her they put the wrong cheese but made sure I didn't speak to her with attitude because I was sure it wasn't her fault. She looked at the burrito I brought back and said that because I ate some of the burrito that they would only give me half a burrito. I thought they were kidding but she brought me half a burrito and sent me on my way. I didn't even bother arguing. I just left. I was very disappointed on how they handled their mistakes. I will not be going back again. of course i had to throw away my half burrito because who knows what they may have done to it. This was my personal experience so it may not happen to you. Just know that the food is mediocre at best and pray they don't make a mistake with your order. Eat here at your own risk.

Taqueria Arandas is a staple in Houston. They are everywhere. However, this was the first and last time I will be trying this location for breakfast at least. The place is a little taco shop with Spanish Rap music playing in the background, old posters on the walls, and everything you would expect from a small unpopular location. The tortillas, OMG. Every good Mexican restaurant must have decent tortillas but here they tasted old and rubbery. The tacos were lightly filled and the flavor for everything was just off. The food is not terrible but it is not worth going back.

Clueless waitress. Ask for a Mexican beer list, and she stated, Bud light, Michelob, Budweiser. Geez. Had to eat off of a napkin because she never brought plates out.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Avoid this location at all costs, they really deserve ZERO STARS. First I arrive and they are only accepting cash; while this is already an inconvenience, ok no problem I go get the cash and return.
While placing my order, the older lady at the counter took an extremely long time taking my order and when I asked for salsa, she tells me that I can only have 3 small 2 oz salsa cups with my order of SEVEN TACOS. What?!! The other location on Hwy 6 does not practice this kind of nonsensical rationing of salsa and when I mention that to her, she replies “Different owners, I can’t do anything about it”. At that point I say ok, can I pay for the extra salsa? And she replies “It’s $2.50 for a 4 oz salsa”. That’s absurd, but I go ahead and pay for it to avoid continuing this negative and argumentative experience.
Once my order comes, the 5 taquito plate is supposed to include a grilled jalapeño and that is not in there, nor would she give it to me because “they have changed the menu from what’s online”. Would it really have hurt to give me the damn jalapeño or at the least allow me to pay for it?? In addition, the steak fajita meat looked like ground beef to which she replied there was nothing wrong with it and I was ALSO charged extra to mix the 5 taquito plate with 3 steak fajita and 2 shrimp. Again…the highway 6 location has NEVER given me this problem or this unfriendly, argumentative and poor customer service.
I should’ve asked to speak to the manager, but let’s see if they acknowledge this review and attempt to right the wrongs I experienced in my visit today. I doubt it, as none of the numerous other low reviews have been acknowledged.

Great lunch!!! Portions are large. Seems to me it's closer to being real Mexican than most. Reasonable pricing.

There are 2 locations by my house and there is no difference in the food, taste wise, at all. The breakfast tacos are so full of flavor. When I went to 1 of them about 4 months ago, I dined inside and I ordered 2 tacos. The waiter told me they are kind of huge so I changed it to 1. And yes it was huge. I went last week and order 2 through drive thru and they were half the size. I wonder what happened. Still a great place.
