Willie's Grill & Icehouse

Willie’s is an order-at-counter and seat yourself establishment. They have pretty good food, though there are some things I would not get (the hush puppies were not good). The servers that bring your meal and drinks once you seat yourself are friendly and fast in my experience. I don’t love the dynamic of ordering before knowing whether there are even sufficient seating/tables to sit at in the dining area. I always go check the dining area first and, if possible, have one person from my party sit and hold the table(s) if the dining area is at all full or if I have a large group that requires pulling together two tables.

I got the grilled catfish, which was good; not a lot of places offer catfish any way but fried, so it’s nice to come here and get it grilled or blackened. Others in my party got hamburgers and other menu items and we generally liked our food. Nothing to rave about, but good enough that we enjoyed it and would come back again in the future.

A sports bar with a family friendly atmosphere. Great tasting food at an affordable price! Victoria was an exceptional waitress/bartender that kept my daughter smiling.

The service was fantastic. First time here and the manager brought us free onion rings. They were great. I got the Texas fried chicken club. The concept sounded great, but the delivery was pretty meh. The sauce was good, but the bread was soggy and the chicken wasn't hot. The fries were ok. Not sure if I would return, it's a maybe.

The shrimp was cold when I got it. The amount of hamburger in the nachos was nonexistent and not even taco flavored very disappointed

Went to Willie’s with my family on Sunday December 15th around 3:00. Ordered chips and queso, fried shrimp po boy with fries, shrimo boil spicy, Mac and cheese and fries.

The chips were stale, queso was okay kinda watery but was fine. Couldn’t really eat the queso though as the chips were hit or miss.

I really don’t know how they managed to assemble the po boy so terribly. Usually that’s a safe order for me at any establishment. The shrimp was overcooked but also still cold in the center. The bread fell apart and was split down the middle making it impossible to hold. I tried eating it with a fork but couldn’t get past the cold overcooked shrimp. The lettuce tasted like old packaged pre shredded lettuce that was past its use date.

The Mac and cheese was definitely made elsewhere then just reheated in a microwave. My 3 yr old ate a little bit of it but wasn’t thrilled. French fries… he loves French fries. He barely touched the French fries. They were cold and unseasoned. Tried to salt them but my table had an empty salt shaker so I got another one from another table.

The shrimp boil was okay. Nothing special.

I ended up driving to sonic and getting some popcorn chicken and tots. It’s very clear that management at Willie’s has no idea how a restaurant operates. All in all I will not be dining at Willie’s ever again. And urge others to not waste their time or money.

Thank you Ravyn for making our date night the best! This was our first Willie’s experience She walked us through the appetizers, dinner and desserts with such sweet professionalism. We will definitely be back AND asking for Ravyn!
