The hibachi grilled salmon lunch special was great, but the appetizers (calamari plus others that I dont remember the names of), the calamari texture was of refried onion rings, so dry and crusted that my friend chocked on them. But, the lunch time crowd was definitely coming in, so maybe my dish selection was off. As for me, I don't think I will be returning.

We told them about the severe food allergies (mushrooms, shrimp and lobster) in our group and it wasn't noted. Our first clue should have been when she brought out the soup and it had mushrooms. Then they brought out all the food on the same plate. We let the cook know and after a bit he brought out another plate. There was a mushroom in the veggies. I warned my sister and niece so they took their Benadryl. The noodles had a mushroom in it as well.
Honestly them not taking the food allergies seriously and USING the SAME utensils on EVERYTHING was frustrating. They acted put out because we were reminding them that we had the allergies. Honestly we didn't yell, we didn't scream, we didn't throw anything or make them comp the meal. We did try to ask for our own table knowing that we had food allergies. They sat us with a couple that didn't have food allergies and that couple acted put out that we had to remind them multiple times about food allergies. We came to this place because it had good reviews but at this point both my sister and niece are at home feeling terrible.

Food was delicious, and the hibachi chef was very accommodating toward my gluten allergy and this other lady's shrimp allergy.
I asked for no soy sauce and had explained that I was allergic to gluten. He was VERY careful in making sure my food didn't touch any of the soy sauce and that the other lady's food didn't touch the shrimp.
I asked the waitress, Susan, if I could please give him a tip. She told me she could give it to him, and I told her I would prefer to give it to him. Susan told me that she could go get him, and she did. After giving him a tip and thanking him for being so accommodating towards our allergies, Susan was irritated that we did that and was telling me that they work for tips while the chefs don't and was being passive aggressive while explaining this. She then started complaining about the tip amount. (both tips being the same amount by the way!) Irritated, my boyfriend told them he'd just take the money back and just give them a twenty to split. She started thanking us in a passive aggressive manner and even patted my shoulder roughly without asking me.
I have gone here multiple times over the years and have NEVER had such issues with the service, nor have I ever been looked down upon for wanting to tip a chef. A tip is supposed to be a sign of gratitude and appreciation and I think some people forget that! Won't be returning and will be taking my business elsewhere. Wish the young chef that I tipped the best of luck and that he continues to do a great job, because he is the only reason I didn't give this place a one star review!

I am a regular customer at Yoko Japanese restaurant. I always enjoyed the food and friendly service here. During the past few months, I have seen and experienced a disturbing trend from some of the customers. They are trying to avoid to pay for the food they have ordered and consumed by saying the food quality is poor, and service is bad, on the other hand they are asking a free replacement. We all know the food and labor costs have went through the roof and people canât afford to eat out as often as they like, but that doesnât mean they can blackmail the business and itâs workers to get their way.
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience here. This restaurant has been one of my favorites for the past year, and I regularly order their combination fried rice. Unfortunately, the quality and customer service during my last visit were unacceptable.
I placed my order at 8:25 pm and picked it up around 8:46 pm. By the time I got home at 9:00 pm, the rice was mushy and stickyânothing like it normally is. I tried calling several times that evening to let them know, but the phone line only rang busy, likely because it was close to closing.
The next day, I spoke with a manager named Cindy. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she was defensive and argumentative. She suggested that I âorder the rice dry next time,â but this wasnât a matter of preferenceâit was simply a bad batch. I explained that Iâve been a loyal customer for over a year and have never had this problem before. She responded by insisting they sold plenty of rice that night, as if I was making it up. I told her I have pics of the rice sticking to the spoon side ways and upside down, explained I called multiple times the night of and explained that by time I would have made it back to the restaurant it would have been close. I had to explain all of this because she was making it seem as if I was trying to receive something for nothing.
When I asked for a refund or replacement, she acted like she was doing me a favor âjust this one time.â Her tone was rude, dismissive, and made me feel as though I was trying to scam a free meal, which was insulting. After she abruptly hung up on me, I decided I no longer trusted them to remake my food. I called back and requested a refund instead, but was told I would need to call again the following day since it was after 5 pm.
I rarely leave negative reviews, and up until now every interaction Iâve had with this restaurant has been positive. However, the way my concern was handledâespecially by managementâwas unprofessional, disrespectful, and left me questioning if I will ever return. I told her that I was not interested in leaving a bad review I just wanted to be taken care of as a customer a loyal customer at that but considering how she handled the matter I felt compelled to write a review in detail. As a business owner myself, I know mistakes happen, but itâs how you treat your customers afterward that matters most.

Absolutely terrible experience. The restaurant crammed three to four unrelated parties at the same table just to save a few tables and staff. With so many people squeezed together, the chef had no idea whose food was whose, and even when the server tried to fix it, it dragged on forever. It was a complete waste of our time and energy, and showed zero professionalism. We didnât come here to sit elbow-to-elbow with strangers and watch our meal turn into a chaotic mess. If I wanted to feel like I was at a crowded cafeteria, I wouldnât be paying restaurant prices. This place clearly cares more about cutting costs than giving customers the dining experience they pay for.

My preference is the scallop hibachi. Iâve been here more than I can count. This is my favorite hibachi spot in Texas! Everything has so much flavor. Itâs so addicting. This is what I expect every time I go to any hibachi restaurant. So far, no other place can match it.

The hibachi chief was super fun and playful definitely made the experience worth going ! The staff was super nice and friendly aswell. Will definitely be coming back.
My husband and I really enjoyed the hibachi. My only complaint is that the hibachi noodles didnât have much flavor. The service was great and all other food was delicious. We will definitely go back!
Been coming here foe years and is the most consistently best sushi! Hibachi is awesome đđŒ too! The owner Cindy and her staff are always so kind and accommodating.
