This is hands down the best African Restaurant I have been to in the DFW area. Amazing set up and tasty African food and drinks. It reminds me of my home country. Meals are well cooked and the presentation is superb. Also, very respectful and welcoming staff. It's a great place to relax with friends and family.

Well I had stopped going due to the meat was always dry and Unedible.. So this Tuesday I went back. The lady at the front very sweet. They redecorated it was nicer. But the beef meat. Hard, couldn't eat it. The Igose soup was oily. Will never go back. Waisted 20.00.

I recently dined at this African restaurant, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with beautiful African decor that set the perfect tone for the meal. The menu offered a fantastic selection of dishes from various regions of Africa, each bursting with flavor and authenticity.I started with the Suya, a popular West African grilled meat skewer, which was perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. For the main course, I tried the Jollof Rice with Chicken, a classic Cameroonian dish that was cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and complex, with just the right amount of spice. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They were also happy to provide recommendations based on my preferences, which I really appreciated.Overall, dining at this African restaurant was a delightful experience, and I can't wait to go back and try more dishes. If you're looking for a taste of Africa in the heart of the city, this is the place to go!

This used to be an African Restaurant, but now it has lost its touch. The cooks are not African and the food reflects that. I lady at the front told me that all of the food is prepared early in the morning, so you are not getting fresh food. The quality does not match the price and it is just sad.

I ordered the tilapia and riped plantain and it was very good. Very tasty, flavorful and the sauce has a nice aroma. I’m giving 4 stars because as I ate the fish, it still had its strong sea smell which I can taste/smell in my mouth. It was so strong that it felt like they took the tilapia out the sea and slapped it on a plate. What made the fish very tasty is the seasoning and sauce. However if you love seafood like me, you’ll know that even good seasoning does not faint away the sea scent in a fish. With that being said it’s clear that the fish might have not been cleaned or washed properly. I usually leave my fish in cool lemon water or vinegar/water to draw out the scent and clean it well. When I make tilapia there is no sea smell in the fish. I guess that’s just a preference thing but personally that smell made me a bit nauseous. I don’t know if I’ll get the tilapia again but I will love to try different foods on the menu. Perhaps something without any meat/chicken/fish. I’m not sure if I trust their meat preparation.

It was really dark inside. I was dinning in. My food was in a to go container and wrapped in a bag. I said It wasn't to go. The young man gave me my bag. I sat and ate. It was a little difficult to enjoy my meal in the plastic to go bowl it was in so I asked for a bowl. They didn't have a bowl. They gave me a Styrofoam to go box. The food wasn't bad but wasn't my favorite either. All agusi does not taste the same. I learned that on this night.... "Calabar pot" has the best Agusi i've had o far.

Love Always

I went to buy fish, plantain, rice and spinach around 9 PM ($36)There was a sign that says please check your order before leaving the restaurant, which I did and found out that the rice was scraped from the buttom of pot and staled, which I rejected, No appogoly was offered, instead the "RUDE short manager" (man) asked the employee to give me $5 and he walked away...I declined and walked out of the place, but now I wished I had left the whole order to Dispute the charge with my bank, because the fish and plantain were as stale and old as manager and of course the suppossedly goat meat that I paid for was actually beef!DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT, BECAUSE IT IS A SCAM & WASTE!!!!!!!Instead; Try Salt and Pepper Restaurant in Garland!
