Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Cedars

To the dude working the back row of Weapons last night 8/8/25- they were not going to pick you just because you decided to be nicer to the group next to us. Maybe you should learn to treat every guest the same- regardless on if you’re interested what they have to say. Good thing I wasn’t in charge of your tip. :) Gross behavior.

The seats at this theater are very comfortable plus it was very clean also the service was great 👍

If I could give zero stars I would, Ruth had the worst customer service and she acted like she couldn’t understand my English. Please make her go through customer service training to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else

I’ve gone to multiple drafts houses. This one didn’t se my card and then blamed me when it was time. 🤷‍♂️ lazy work Alamo.

The last two times I’ve been, the service has been super slow. Both times it took over 40 minutes just to get simple drinks like water or a beer. One visit, our food took over an hour. I think it got comped, but no one told us anything, no apology, no explanation. We just asked a random server about our tab, and he said, “Oh, y’all don’t have one.” Most recently, during the Fantastic 4 Thursday showing, I didn’t even order food because of what happened last time. I just ordered a beer and two waters, and even that took forever. 30 minutes for the beer and 40 minutes for water. I liked the beer, so I tried ordering another one, but no one picked up my paper order for a long time. Then, 20 minutes later, they brought me my tab, but it only had the one beer on it. No one said anything about not taking more orders or why the second drink never came. Honestly, super disappointing. I think I’ll just go to SMG next time even if it’s farther. (Would be 1 star but the screens are nice)

We were so happy when this reopened and they finally got new recliner chairs. But our last visit was unbelievable. There was a parking attendant (never identified himself but later the manager vouched for him as working for the neighborhood) who claimed we could not park on the public street behind the theater. Yes, we moved his unauthorized cones blocking the right away to a public street. He was enraged about the cones even though we immediately put them back and said I'd have to move. He said that he was saving those parallel spots (on a public street) for employees. We went inside the theater and tried to address with employees but eventually left. I didn't feel comfortable with that man yelling at people-- especially a mom with one disabled child and an 8 year old. Also, it's a fire hazard and illegal to block the public right of way and access to public streets.

I obviously asked for a refund and left my name with the Alamo employees. My wife called the next day and was told the refund was already in process. Now three weeks later and still no refund!

Theater was great, great lounge and screen. I was very disappointed in the service… we got there before the showing and placed our order of popcorn, one coke, one jalapeño cup, and one cheese cup. We got our cups first, then probably 20 minutes later got our coke, and 30 minutes before the movie ended we got our popcorn. We still payed the full price, I can understand if there were limited staff, it was just very irritating in the moment.

This is my favorite Alamo location . I’ve been an avid visitor since they opened and when they reopen after closing abruptly.

The last year I’ve had mixed experiences. Mostly around food and service. If I’m at the bar I’m okay. But every-time I see a movie and order anything, it’s always an issue. This last time I ordered a drink and the server grabbed everyone else’s paper except mine. It took at least 20 mins and I just went to get him. That same order the second drink was completely different than the first one so now I’m waiting again for the person. It was at a slow time so not sure of the issues here. Even when I share my responses no one ever contacts me. I’ll probably go but not order anything while watching movie.

this is my wife and I's favorite theatre to go to. let me start with really the only negative about alamo drafthouse so i can end with all the good things about this facility.

the ony negative is there is now an 18% service charge on all orders. my wife an i only orderd one popcorn and we each got a drink so only 3 items. i can only imagine what the charge would be for a big order. It is easy to avoid eat before you go to the movie and leave water in your car so if you have to go tot he head during the movie. swing by your car take a drink then get back to the theatre. if you can not go 2-3 hours without eating than you have other issues to worry about.

The positive, and why even though we have moved further away from Cedars we still choose this facility to come back to. The atmosphere. Not sure about other theatres but if you buy your tickets online or via the alamo app you get to pick where you want to sit. The staff is always nice, the food is good and for what we USED to order the value was great, and it is very quiet other than the sounds from the movie. the most important part is the facility is CLEAN.

Great staff. Love the venue. $10 cocktails happy hour. I like!!
