There should be absolutely no reason for me to place an order for a water an/or soft drink at the very beginning of the movie…and not receive it until th end of the movie. This theater is so ridiculously slow when it comes to food orders. This is an everytime thing, not just an isolated incident. Do better. The entire movies duration before receiving ordered beverages and still charging an 18% gratuity is absurd.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Imagine showing up a bit late due to the traffic and unusual location, and the long haired dude does it nod his head. This is not how you do business lol. Went to amc right after and they took care of me.

Very very dissatisfied and disappointed with their service. Does a business not want to be profitable?? Genuinely confused. Never going to an Alamo again.

I love this place kinda crazy if Southside ballroom has a show.

So disappointed 😭 We put our order in, cold popcorn. Then he handed us the tab and we never received our other food. Then he brings us ice cold pizza and chicken strips that they forgot to run. We didn't touch it. And talking to him about it made me miss a huge part of the movie I was so excited to see. No solutions were offered.

If you’ve never been to dinner in a movie, you owe it to yourself at least to treat yourself. I go out here when nobody else wants to go with me lol

Definitely one of my favorite local cinemas. Kind of reminds me of childhood

My husband and I always choose Alamo whenever we go to the movies. We love the comfy seats and love the service even more. Food is always great and you definitely get a bang for your buck. Bottomless popcorn is always a favorite! Food and drinks always come out within a few minutes of ordering! Every time we have gone, people are always super respectful in the theatre and there’s plenty of extra parking that they open up. We’ve always had great experiences at Alamo!

Just received a request for feedback from Alamo via email. I figured it'd be better to share my experience here for others to see.

I don't live in Texas, but was introduced to Alamo in Austin. One of the things that really stood out to me was their strict policy on talking/texting. I love to actually enjoy the movie I paid for, and when visiting Alamo, I can be certain that will be the case.

On to the food, someone in the kitchen made one of the best pizzas I have ever experienced. I ordered the carnivore pizza and it did not disappoint. Stretchy cheese, crispy bacon and perfectly cooked crust, I'm considering going back on this trip to visit once more before heading home.

I needed to change my seat before the film started (I selected one too close to the screen), the staff was very helpful and took care of it right away.

Overall, if Alamo was in Vegas, I'd be a lifetime member! Thanks for a great experience :)

9/30/25 was my second time coming here ever. I came during the day see a movie and happened to arrive past the 15 minute grace period. The cashier and manager allowed me into the screening because I was the Only one there for the showing. I wanted to treat myself that day and went alone. Ok fine. I ordered a couple of cocktails and the young server guy kept coming back and forth asking me questions about if I had eaten…hmmm. He insisted the bartender wanted to know (about my daily activities before attending the movie). VERY UNPROFESSIONAL . I had lunch before I came and I Ubered to the theater. I didn’t drive there, but that’s not appropriate to ask anybody who is A GOOD PAYING CUSTOMER. That was my first drink for the day actually. On top of that, he messed up my drink. I asked for an extra shot with my margarita. INSTEAD of putting it on the side, it somehow was put inside the margarita. Which Then turned into a 2 drink minimum policy with the establishment. And apparently an extra shot inside of a cocktail counts as 2 drinks … So I never received my second drink so to speak. Ive never been cut off after one cocktail, that was diabolical.

10/10/25 was my third trip to this cinema. I was treating my friend for her birthday, she wanted to see the same movie I already saw a few weeks prior. Unfortunately there was a “Lil TECCA” concert in town that delayed our arrival. Traffic was *Obviously backed up in front of the cinema. Online it said the movie started at 10:30pm. We tried to purchase our tickets no later than 10:32pm. NOT KNOWING the previews actually started at 10:15pm and the actual movie began at 10:30 … the young cashier guy denied us tickets. Explaining how we were past the grace period. I advised him, I came to see the Same Movie a few weeks prior with no issues (although I was late). He spoke about his manager. I asked to speak with her. Her name is “BRE” and I explained the situation. She then allowed my friend and I to purchase tickets. She even escorted us to our seats . Great.

Upon being seated. We were approached by staff, a young lady in the screening trying to get our order. We ordered 2 margaritas, with 2 extra shots on the side. They never came. I then went to the restroom and decided to check on our drinks at the kitchen. I found out They were never put into the system !! The kitchen lead then assisted me and took my order by the kitchen area. She asked me for a card on file. Which was strange because, if I were to be in my seat watching the movie…The establishment would just hand me my tab at the end of the movie. So the fact I was told to open a tab on the spot was weird. But ! It was my friend’s birthday and I was payment ready. I didn’t want to make more issues than there already was.

2 days later, my $56.19 charge posted. And I see yet Another pending charge for $56.18 that has my funds on HOLD. I called the establishment and spoke to “ERIC” He reassured me that if the pending charge doesn’t fall off within the next 2 days, they will offer me a refund when it is posted. That has never happened to me before while visiting this place. Hmm.

Not sure if my experience with this Cinema happens on the daily with multiple customers ?? Or if I have only experienced these things due to racial profiling. I am not as Young as I APPEAR. And I don’t spend my hard earned money at establishments with poor customer service. Either way, you all have lost my business. Too many Hiccups, Inconveniences, Inconsistencies. I have an $56 on hold on my card, when I could use that for gas money to and from work !! Won’t be recommending this cinema to anyone.

Great place to come for slow art house vibes. Make sure you arrive 30 minutes early so you can get the full experience. They incorporate all kinds of little Easter eggs and fun hints before the movie starts that will reference the movie without you even realizing it. It adds a lot of flavor to the experience and the food is very nice here.
