Alfonso's Reviews
Had a rare opportunity for my son and I to have a guys night out. Hit up longstanding local fave Alfonso's.
Started off with a mighty fine Old Fashioned. We both had the minestrone for starters. Charlie said his Chicken Piccata was "REALLY good". And our server, Lupita, was spot on with her recommendation of the Seafood Special - crab and shrimp with penne, in a white wine sauce with garlic, tomatoes and chives. It's a winner if I'd order it again, and I would.

Alfonso's offers a variety of tasty dishes, with some mixed reviews on their takeout salads. The service is excellent, creating a family-friendly and warm, welcoming atmosphere. Customers appreciate the attentive and helpful staff who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant is quite small but has a comfortable and dim atmosphere, making it a nice spot for families. Parking is convenient, and they cater to dietary restrictions like gluten-free pasta.
The menu includes a great selection, with highlights like the crabclaw appetizer, baked ravioli, and the best pizza ever. The garlic rolls and garlic bread are described as soft, hot, and yummy, perfect for soaking up sauces. Customers enjoy meals like Pasta Pomadoro, which features perfectly cooked pasta and a rich, spicy sauce, and delicious deep dish pizza that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They also offer an incredible small Detroit style pizza that comes in four square slices. Overall, Alfonso's provides a pleasing dining experience that many find worth returning to.
