Came here last year for my bday and was one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Nothing else like it in DFW- A must try!Really sad to see it’s still closed. Was hoping to make Ame a regular spot for our celebration dinners.Hope to see y’all open again soon!

Ame was a delightful fusion of French and Indian flavors. The highlight was the Shrimp Curry (10/10), a creamy masterpiece with perfectly cooked shrimp and a complex spice blend. The Roti and Naan were fresh and delicious, perfectly complementing the curries (9/10). While the Chicken Tikka (7/10) and Lamb Vindaloo (7/10) were good, they didn't quite reach the same heights as the other dishes. The elegant ambiance and knowledgeable server added to the positive experience. Biggest drawback was the price as it was quite pricey for the portion size. Worth the one time visit but would not be back any time soon.

I made a reservation on July 9th for August 13th (it was the first day available). We went there today (1 hour drive from home) to learn that it has been closed since MAY.Why are you booking reservations if you are not even open? At least mention this in your website and social media platforms.

The establishment itself was nicely decorated but the food was pretty terrible in my opinion. Little to no flavors and very over priced for what you get. Service was okay, waitress didn’t really know anything about the menu and kept having to go check with someone else for answers.

Overall my experience was good. The drinks were solid and the food was very good. My only real issue is that this is very expensive for what you get. While the food was very good, I don't know that it was worth the price point. I'm glad I went but it's not a place I would visit again.

This place is too costly to be this bad. Beef was too salty and tough. Service was terrible and we were the only ones there.

Extremely slow service. Waited an hour after ordering to get the food. Party just before us finished their food before we event received it. Server was very argumentative to make his point that the chef is doing this or that

GOT SICK!! Disgusting food and service. Everything tasted like it was reheated in the microwave. I got so sick after eating here. Save your money and go elsewhere.

We had a birthday dinner here and it was amazing! We were intrigued by the idea of Indian food made with French cooking techniques. The ambiance of the restaurant is also beautiful—there’s a bar area that’s bright with a large chandelier, but the interior restaurant is more romantic with fun pops like the wallpaper. We had the Chaat for an appetizer—perfect amount of heat with pomegranate seeds for a nice garnish. Comes with aloo gobi prepared as a small patty—this impressed my husband first. The drinks were delicious—just my style, sweet but not too strong. I had the Mango Delice and husband had a Masala Sour. For our entrees: I had the cashew chicken which our server (also the host and chef/owner’s husband) said was a signature dish. I ordered it with garlic naan puffs that definitely had that French flair. My husband had the pistachio lamb chops, and it did not disappoint. The portions were large and we definitely took some home! We saved room for the lavender Malai for dessert which was the chef’s kiss! Overall, great food and ambiance. Go with an open mind and you will not be disappointed!

Visited this restaurant for celebrate a special occasion and was super excited after reading a few reviews and the French twist on a Indian food. Drinks were good but not super impressed with their food. We ordered vegetarian and the only thing that was good was the paneer. The bun naan was nah and the paratha definitely looked like the store bought Malabar paratha. The staff was super rude and disinterested.

I'm stunned that Ame doesn't have a higher overall Yelp rating. We had a phenomenal experience.IMPORTANT: This is Indian food cooked in a French style. That means that the sauces are all prepared separately from the meats, unlike traditional Indian food where the meats are often cooked in the sauce. So, it's not 100% authentic Indian food, but that's not what they're trying to do. I'd describe it as an elevated, unique take on Indian food.ALSO IMPORTANT: Our waiter was the husband of the chef-owner. When we referred to her as the chef, he always politely replied by noting that she was the "chef-owner." It was so cute...love a man who wants to make sure you're giving his wife credit for being the badass she is. But also, DALLAS, COME ON, let's support local, WOMAN-OWNED restaurants!! Especially one as incredible as Ame. I'll add that the chef-owner is a lovely Afghani woman who even brought some of our dishes to our table herself. This is the sweetest couple, and you all need to meet them and experience the magic she's creating in the kitchen.Ok, that said, on to the food/drinks.We started with cocktails: the Mumbai Gimlet is lovely and refreshing, and the Stonefruit Daisy needs a different name, because it is BOLD and SPICY and really interesting. With our entrees, we each got a glass of their cab franc, which was lovely. The wine by the glass menu is limited but thoughtfully selected. (Also, a table near us ordered a bottle of sparkling red that looked fantastic.)For appetizers, we got the chaat (spicy chickpea dish) and the lamb samosa. Do not miss out on the phenomenal sauce that comes with the samosas. Delicious!! I wish we'd had room to try the calamari, because calamari with cayenne and mango habanero chutney just sounds so interesting.I asked our waiter if the chicken tikka was a pretty standard chicken tikka dish, and I was soon embarrassed I had asked that. His description sounded so incredible that we immediately added it to our order, and my boyfriend described it as "the best chicken tikka I've ever had." I agree. Wish I'd taken a picture because it was served so beautifully, with the chicken (intact; not cubed!) sitting elegantly atop a dish of the sauce. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were just phenomenal.Lamb rogan josh was also excellent; the presentation was more standard Indian style with the meat cubed and served coated in the sauce. Although described as a dish on the spicier side, it really wasn't too spicy. The sleeper hit on the menu is the ribeye kebab. I know, I know, it doesn't look as unique or exciting as some of the other entrees, but DO NOT miss this dish. The meat has this exquisite spiced flavor -- described on the menu as "chef's spice blend," she needs to bottle and sell that magic."Naan puffs" here are not the same as traditional naan; they're more "bready" and to me really epitomize the blend of Indian and French cooking techniques here, as do the paratha croissants. I saw one Yelp review questioning why "croissant" was part of the name of this dish. Well, it's not traditional paratha, and I'm not sure how you could miss that! The dough is clearly laminated in a traditional croissant style before being shaped into a round disk like a paratha. It is SO delicious but not as good for soaking up sauces, so just keep this in mind when ordering. I'd maybe order the paratha croissant with your appetizers and then order naan puffs with the entrees for soaking up sauce. Or get the black lentils that are topped with the paratha croissant! We obviously ordered way too much food to have any room for the amazing veggie dishes or desserts, but hopefully we'll get to try some of those next time. The ambiance here is lovely. White tablecloths and gorgeous interior design. And yeah, the food isn't cheap, but it's also this incredible, unique blend of cooking techniques resulting in phenomenal dishes that you can

Food was good. Atmosphere extremely tense. Waited so long to be acknowledged at the bar. There is a strict dress code. It would have been great to know this before going in and told your attire is not welcome. My guests and I were walking Bishop Arts for goodness sake. We were not expecting to not be able to walk into a restaurant to enjoy beverages and a bite. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I was looking forward to eating here. From the food that we did receive , a variety of appetizers I enjoyed. However on the service I haven’t been this disappointed in a long time. Resy at 7:30 with being told we’d be charged $50 pp if late, okay. Party of 7 celebration of bday, we ended up leaving at 9:45 due to only being served one round of drinks and apps. While watching at least 3-4 other tables eat and leave. I’ve worked in restaurant industry so understand the off nights but the server and manger were absolutely awful. Only thing I can say is the chef came out at end and tried to appease very hungry guests but after the treatment by other staff it was to little to late. Way too many other places to eat in Dallas.

Really nice place with interesting approach in food. It a French Indian mix, sometimes hot, sometimes sweet, but really exiting to try. The personnel is pleasant and attentive. The place is really nice looking and cozy. Will definitely visit it again.
