Picked up a to go order the other day and ordered asparagus as part of the order. Usually they do a good job with to go orders, but the results on this particular day were very disappointing per the attached picture.

We just had Sunday brunch here: everything tasted superb and was reasonably priced.I had a "brunch pizza" but another person at the table had the fried chicken and biscuits. I'd recommend either; everything on the menu looked delicious!

Reservation. Seated immediately. Restaurant full but not over-full, hope you get that. Great personal service. Food was a little under heated. Not typical, but happened this time. It was a custom dish, probably threw them off a bit. Definitely recommend.

The appetizer was served cold. The bread basket was warmed over. The entree had the appearance and taste of hospital food, certainly not chef prepared. Two people for lunch - $60 - expected so much better. The side salad was good, though.

Dinner for four of us. Our drinks were brought out in 3 trips to the table. Three out of the four dishes were fine but the chicken aristocrat was so oily I couldn't tell the chicken from the eggplant. I mentioned it to management. They offered me something else. When I declined, they thankfully removed the dinner off our bill. Service was ok but our dinners came before we were even halfway through our salads. Our garlic bread appetizer came after our dinner was delivered. If we knew bread came with the meal, we would not have ordered garlic for an appetizer. Service was very choppy. They were obviously waiting for us to leave at the end of our meal so they could reseat it.

This place used to have the best pizza in town. Not any more. Bad ingredients make bad pizza. Service and atmosphere still very good.

With all the Italian places around, I do not think that I would count this in my top 20. With all the better places in Snider Plaza, would choose another. I think neighborhood folks just like it because it has bee there forever.

Amore has been one of my go-to joints where I have been regularly going since the mid-nineties. You might ask...if so, Rickster, why only three stars? To be honest, Amore leans towards being Old School Italian. And for that reason, it's a place that is reliably comfortable and predictable. A place that one can trust from visit to visit. It's not the type of place you would go if you're looking for contenders for a Michelin star or aiming to spot someone on the A-list. Is the food unique and memorable? No, the menu offers classic Italian favorites, pasta specialties, and pizzas...something that one would expect from a favorite neighborhood restaurant. Does the ambience knock your socks off? Let's just say, for me, it's a place that conjures up "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant, " that old Billy Joel tune. If you want to snag a table at 7:00 PM, you're likely to find the place full of folks who have been regulars from the neighborhood for decades. Cue up Billy..."We'll get a table near the street. In our old familiar place. You and I, face to face. A bottle of red, a bottle of white..." And the service? It's always prompt...but then again, Amore is a small place with five or six booths, and maybe ten tables. Yep, Amore is one of my favorite places to go over and over and over again and enjoy a four star experience, with three-star food, ambience, and service. And kudos if that makes sense. Billy Joel would be proud.

Friendly and attentive service. Food across the board, was under seasoned and lacked flavor.. Chicken breast w/eggplant over pasta in cream sauce , pasta Genoese, antiposte salad...

Food was delicious! Service great too. Perfect for a cold night! Chicken parmesan, and pasta was exceptional.

It was my wife's birthday and she wanted to eat at Amore. We had a 6:30 reservation and showed up 5 minutes early and had to stand outside because the small entryway was backed up with guests trying to get seated. The host was struggling with an iPad that contained the seating chart. The host moved two guests from the entry toward their table, allowing us to enter. When the host returned, a man in front of us wasn't pleased with where the host wanted to seat his wife and him. There were 3-4 other empty tables and the man wanted to be seated at one of those. This discussion turned into a 10 minute drama, with the host spending most of that time looking at and fingering his iPad. By now, other arriving guests had filled the entryway, and when the host came back, he addressed the new arrivals instead of my wife and me. They informed him we were there first. We gave him our name, more iPad fingering, and the host told us we could have an occupied booth where a couple was finishing dinner (there were still 2-3 empty tables). He then seated the 4 guests who came in after us. We stood around for another 5 minutes until we realized the table we were supposed to take was waiting for their dessert. I walked back toward the bar and told the host we were leaving. He said we could be seated at one of the empty tables. We took our seats and waited another 5 minutes before a waiter came by with water. Then another 5 minutes before a different waiter came by and asked if we were going to order a bottle of wine. I asked for menus, and the waiter told me they were out of menus but he'd go look for a couple. He returned and said they didn't have any menus available (still 2-3 empty tables) but he was going to take another tables order and then “maybe” come back. We stood up, grabbed our coats and left.

Our experience was terrible. Had a 6:00 reservation and the waiter had me wait at the front door for five minutes with cold air (30 degrees) blowing from the door opening while he went to chat with the manager who clearly was inexperienced and had not a clue on how to manager a restaurant nor reservations. We have been going to this restaurant for 25 years, and unfortunately it must have been sold, and Ted, the former manager, is gone. Eggplant parmigiana was terrible! Need I say more!

We did get a credit for the messed up dish however..... service was extremely slow and I got a wrong dish - ordered penne/chicken/vodka sauce and got penne/shrimp/alfredo. Waiter even doubled checked my order. Hoping it was just an off night
