Pleasantly surprised by the quality and creativity of the food at this place. Being from Vegas I've eaten at a lot of excellent Japanese restaurants and have usually been a bit disappointed at Japanese restaurants outside of Vegas. The food was innovative and tasty, the service was good, and the ambiance of the restaurant was refreshing as it was more of an upscale American themed restaurant rather than your typical Japanese decor. Would definitely recommend.

This was our first visit and everything about the evening was beyond exceptional. Our waitress, Destiny, was professional and friendly, while serving our drink and food requests in a timely manner and not rushed. The appetizers, entrees, and desserts were extraordinary. We made a special effort to speak to Michael, the manager, to thank him for our wonderful experience. We will be repeat customers.

I love the intimate vibes at the bar- the food was good, the service was good & the drinks were good. Nothing disappointed & I am so happy to have this establishment in the neighborhood.

Full of highland park snobs that stare you down if you’re a minority. They will stare in to your soul and make it known they don’t like you. The guy in front of us got mad because we were seated in front of him, it was a traumatizing experience to encounter racism from white people in 2024. The only person that was nice was one of the waiters who wasn’t white. Otherwise everyone else is rude and arrogant.

Drinks are always delicious here! The sushi was great and the molten chocolate lava cake was 10/10!

Ok, so I thought this was just going to be Hudson House with a more nautical theme but I was happily proven otherwise. Knowing the Knox location didn't take reservations we showed up at 7:30 on Saturday evening and found an hour and a half wait for a table. Fortunately, two seats quickly opened at the bar and we chose to eat there instead. I love a good bar, and this was cozy and inviting. The two bartenders waiting on us were the stars. They were both super attentive and were on their game making drinks non stop all night. I could have definitely enjoyed a third martini they were so good (although strong so perhaps wouldn't have been a good move!) The food was excellent. The bartenders did let us know the delay in the sushi order at the time we ordered so that was no problem. The pork dumplings were fabulous and hot. I wish I had been hungrier because a couple other dishes looked very enticing on the menu. Oh well, guess it will deserve another visit!

Our first time to try anchor, and I was really expecting a lot from this restaurant group as we love their other concepts. We sat at our table for almost 15 min before we were greeted, I had to go get the hostess to let her know we didn't have a server. Our server was timid and challenged with taking our order. Food was excellent. More training on approaching the table was needed for our server.

Absolutely loved this restaurant and we are looking forward to coming back! Also their ginger mocktail is delicious and the golden roll is super tasty. We ordered about 6 rolls and everything was great.

Sushi & food was not good & overpriced. Ambiance is lovely. I'd come back and sit on the patio for a drink on a nice night but skip the food.

Our party of 6 had a great experience! They accommodated a late request for wheelchair accessibility, which we really appreciated! The ambiance is very cool, featuring a modern but retro “ship” theme! Everything we ordered from drinks to the ahi stacks to several sushi rolls and fried rice was fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious! Our server was amazing and very attentive. Would recommend to anyone looking for sushi in Dallas!

Wonderful evening with our guests. Mary, our Server, was excellent. She was personable, pleasant and attentive. Food and bar service was great! The Ambience suffered with the noise level, to the point it was unpleasant and difficult to have a conversation without raising our voices to compete. We will certainly return but schedule our reservation as early as possible and weekday evening in an attempt to avoid the heightened noise level.

The dumplings were cold, made a comment to the server and she told me she would let the chef know. Then nothing. The truffle oil on the salmon was too strong lacking a balance. Not a good value for the price you pay. Not impressed.

Lovely experience. We enjoyed everything! From the Tuna tacos, shrimp and lobster dumplings to the “the best roll”— everything was top notch. Emily, our server, was very attentive and provided great recommendations.
