I had a very nice salad and great service at the terminal D location. The server, Gabriel F., was welcoming and attentive. A refreshing experience in a long day of traveling.

Nice food, good vibe, but the service from „Jose M” wasn’t great - specifically the pressure tactics to buy alcoholic drinks. Not everyone is able to drink alcohol, in my case medically, and it was uncomfortable to hear multiple sarcastic comments about ordering a real drink. One comment is fine, but 4 or 5 is not needed and is patronising.

Rude waiter the restaurant was busy so I sat at the bar because I was by myself and there was no place to sit and he complained that I didn’t order alcohol all I wanted is something to eat and not fast food after his rude customer service I will never stop here again and the food was nothing to write home about

AA delayed our flight and gave us three $12 vouchers. I asked if I could use my vouchers here before ordering and then ordered food for my family (still at the gate waiting for me) that totaled just under $36.

The service was slow and not packed to go like I asked. After I had packed my own food I used the vouchers to pay and was told to wait, which was weird. The waitress came back and gave me a new bill for $1.05 which blew my mind. Apparently, every other food vendor at the DFW airport can accept a food voucher for free, but Applebees specifically charges $0.35 to use them. My order was under $36 after tax, but in this backward system I am forced to carry two payment methods available because there is a $0.35 surcharge that I cannot pay for with the remaining unused balance still on my food voucher. There should not even be a surcharge in the first place, and definitely not a surcharge PER voucher.

I was not pleased with this service and surprise bill that forced me to fumble through several Apple Pay methods since I did not even bring my wallet. It took about 6 tries since their payment system was not accepting half of the cards in my Apple Pay, giving me plenty of time to reflect on the ridiculousness of the entire situation this franchise was putting me in. I decided not to leave a tip which seemed completely reasonable to me. Then the waitress rudely asked me loudly in front of the entire restaurant “No tip?” again and again after I started walking out. I had to explain that I did not feel appropriate leaving a tip for food I had to pack myself when I ordered it to go, that all she did was deliver food to my table and leave, that this restaurant is seemingly illegally charging me hidden fees to use each food voucher when no other restaurant does so, and that I have remaining balance unused on the vouchers that they could have used to pay for the fees as well.

She started lecturing me that it is not her fault, as if I am bad person for expecting the person who told me I can use food vouchers that there are fees to do so, or for a gigantic multimillion dollar restaurant chain to cop me a dollar for dubiously legal fees they billed me after I already paid for my food. This went on back and forth inside the restaurant in front of other diners, souring whatever remaining motivation I had to visit here ever again, before I finally just walked out while ignoring her heckling me since my family was still waiting at the gate hungry to eat. My family was not happy waiting for me, and I was not happy when I submitted a complaint online and even their corporate support continued down this path of justifying an obviously anti-customer policy.

I assume this Applebees accumulates less than $100 worth of voucher fees annually, so I hope my $1.05 contribution to this operating expense was worth it because I will never eat here ever again.

Very good service terrible food none of it had flavor and somehow the grilled chicken sandwich felt worse in my gut than a greasy hamburger.

Avoid this place and go to any other eatery. Service is horrendous. Inattentive servers, I waited forever to be seated only to be told just to sit myself. Then I sat down and flat out got ignored for 20 minutes minuted until I stood up and walked around to find someone to take my order that never came. This place needs to shape up.

Typical of airport restaurants, a bit pricey, can be busy, but the food is good, and the staff very friendly.

Got our drinks and nothing else. She checked a couple of times while we were looking then nothing else. She did not miss a text or social media post whatever she was checking on her phone. I knew better than to go to Applebees!

Don’t order the mac n cheese 😢 it was weirdly sweet and didn’t really seem like mac n cheese. The chicken fingers were fine. I typically adore mac n cheese in all its presentations, but the sauce was so odd. I ended up eating from my husband’s food.

The service was fast.

This Applebees is located in the restricted departure area of Terminal D around gate D18. Opening hours are 5am to 8.30pm daily, there is a fair amount of seating. Menu is a shorter version of the normal Applebees restaurant.

Stopped by recently for an order of the Mozzarella sticks and glass of beer. Service was friendly and fast. Prices a bit high but not unexpected for airport restaurants. Food tasted as expected. Was able to watch several sports programmes while there. Seemed like a fair place to grab a drink or bite to eat while waiting for flight departures at Terminal D.
