Ascension Coffee - Design District

I haven’t been here in years. But coming back the atmosphere was very nice and inviting.

I sat outside on the outdoor patio to get some work done however they didn’t have any outlets outside, but they did have an outlet inside at a round table that I eventually moved to.

The weight staff was very kind and attentive. The food was excellent and came out quickly. I can definitely see myself visiting again.

We had a reservation and we showed up on time and when we got there, they said that they had a lot of people waiting so they just gave all the tables up so we didn’t have a table for our reservation. They wanted to give us a high bar table, but we had babies with us so the high chairs for them weren’t gonna work so we had to tell them we needed another table and it took us nearly 45 minutes to get a table even though we had a reservation and one that would accommodate our kids even when we specified in our reservation that we had babies. So, this was a not a great experience and the hostess was not nice at. However, once we got our food it was really good. Overall the service was mediocre but I guess we would return, but not to the same location maybe try another one that’s not the one at design district.

If you’re looking for the perfect place to unwind, study, or catch up with friends, this spot is a must visit. The combination of delicious coffee and amazing food creates a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere that’s ideal for focusing or enjoying a great conversation. I highly recommend checking it out!

I always come in and order take out and there is always a problem with me getting what I ordered. a restaurant should have a system in place where every customer receives what they ordered and paid for. This is the third time I have been given an item other than I ordered when it wasn’t that busy.

I love their espresso Cruffin. It's a must try. They were open in The Sound, I used to go only for this Cruffin every other weekend! Their flavored teas are good too. I had the breakfast bowl!

The wait staff need to be more attentive. Shouldn’t have to wait 30 minutes after sitting down to get my coffee order. Feels like a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode.

Food was great. Service was meh. But the parking valet cursed at me because I didn't tip him. I didn't tip him because my hands were full with my kid's stuff. Feel free to go here, but don't be surprised when you get cursed out in the parking lot.

Service is terrible! I've been coming here for about 3 months, and the only time the servers are attentive is when there is one specific manager on duty. When he's not there, service goes straight down.

Coffee is not worth it. Food is not worth it. Service is terrible. The only reason why I go there is because it's convenient, otherwise I'm somewhere else.

Loved it. Charming spot in the Dallas Design District. Casual international crowd enjoying delicious and creatuve menu options for breakfast/lunch.. Service was excellent. Parking is an issue if you do not wish to valet park. It had a small outdoor foliage covered area.

Great Coffee! They also have oatmilk which is my preference and it was good.
