Food was great the only thing is that the horchata coffee didn’t taste like horchata unfortunately. The coffee flight was not my favorite thing on the menu whatsoever but the matcha is definitely yummy. I got the burger and it was so good! The hostess sat us 3 in a smallllllll table which was not ideal lol but thankfully our server pushed another table once it was free.

Slow service and very mid food. sandwich bread was all soggy and for some reason they add sweet dressing to a Mediterranean salad? Matcha tasted like milk and latte was watery.

3 stars only because I love the coffee beans. The lack of stars because the last couple times I’ve been to this location I have stood at the register while multiple employees wonder aimlessly around the restaurant. Today was too long, in the time I stood waiting for someone to even acknowledge me here, I left, got in my car drove up the block to Starbucks, ordered, paid, and got a coffee…. I’m not a Starbucks fan, at all. But what I’m less of a fan of is being ignored.
Always a great experience and atmosphere whenever I come. This my my go to spot for studying.

From the outside, Ascension Coffee – White Rock looks sleek, almost too polished, but stepping inside reveals a completely different experience: bright, spotless, and welcoming, with vaulted ceilings and modern communal seating that makes the space both stylish and functional.
The Earl Grey Tea Loaf is moist with a subtle glaze — simple, elegant, and well-balanced with the tea’s fragrance. The Apple Galette is flaky and golden, apples holding their texture in a rustic but refined presentation. The Chocolate Croissant shows careful lamination, crisp layers, and a restrained chocolate filling that leans sophisticated rather than overly sweet. Drinks hold the same standard: the latte is smooth and balanced with artful milk texture, while the iced matcha latte is bright, clean, and free from bitterness.
Beyond food and drinks, details stand out — chilled bottled water from the fridge offered as courtesy, staff who prepare drinks with care, and a space that feels safe for casual dates, versatile for laptop work, and comfortable enough for family or playdate visits.
Despite its polished design, prices remain reasonable, making Ascension feel accessible without losing its sophistication. The overall impression is of a café that values detail and presentation, where both atmosphere and quality exceed what you expect from the outside.

I love Ascension but their uber eats delivery system always fails me. I tried for a third time and each time my drink and/or treat/cookie/etc was missing. I called and they said the drink was there and my driver missed it. I asked my driver and she said she was told everything from my order was in the bag. The person at ascension I spoke to on the phone wasn’t helpful at all and I’m disappointed because I usually love the service there. Would be worth looking into the system to make easier for drivers to understand.
I love this place

Good brunch! Good coffee! Decent service but the parking sucks, but they can redo anything about that. They also have a cute lil bakery in there where you can get things to go. Their lavender latte is great!

I had the absolute best day working remotely from here! The coffee was delicious but the food was out of this world! Loved my waitress and the vibe. Will absolutely be back!

Ascension is one of my go-to brunch spots in Dallas — relaxed, stylish, and consistently delicious. Their migas are absolutely packed with flavor — cheesy, spicy, and perfectly satisfying without feeling too heavy. And if you’re into brunch cocktails, their espresso martinis are hands down my favorite in the city — smooth, bold, and just the right amount of sweetness to kick off the weekend. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or lingering with friends, Ascension nails that perfect brunch vibe every time.

such a great vibe and amazing atmosphere. I often come here to work and grab breakfast. it gets pretty packed on sunny days, but that’s expected because the outdoor seating maybe perfectly shaded depending on where you can grab a seat. if I had to be picky, they could use more parking, especially since people come here in groups, and the parking quickly goes.

Parking is pretty bad and the few spaces they have they cramped up together and made them too small where cars take multiple spaces and it is less efficient than if they just made regular spaces. Expect to come and not find parking spaces and maybe have to go somewhere else.
