Will truly miss this place. From the speakeasy ambiance, awkward two floor layout, and the fireplace in the winter, this place truly has a vibe that cannot be recreated. Their Blood & Sands and Old Fashioned are expertly crafted and if you don't know what you want, they will help you figure it out. The bar staff has always been friendly and knowledgeable. Hope they open in another spot!!

Atwater Alley is a neat little speakeasy-themed bar tucked away in the northernmost region of Knox-Henderson. Lots of dark wood throughout the place, and limited seating space, give it a very roaring-twenties vibe. The bartenders have made all of the cocktails I've ever asked for (mules, old fashioneds, whiskey sours, etc.) excellently, and that hasn't changed much since it opened. Later in the evening, say after ~10PM, you won't find much seating. So if you plan on spending most of your time in one spot, get here shortly after dinner, and stay until you're ready to go home.

Lemon honey and gin aka the bee's knees. Great cocktail and great ambience. 10/10! :)

The bartenders here are REAL bartenders. They will make you incredible drinks with little guidance needed. Can be hard to grab a seat here but always worth the struggle.

I love how this speakeasy is tucked away in an alley. Small intimate space, that serves up some dang good cocktails.

I've always really liked coming to Atwater. I didn't know that it was still open following the lockdown. The bartenders are amazing in all contexts. The page can get pretty crowded, so be patient if you can't find a seat for a bit.

I have only been once and I cannot wait to go back. The bartender was amazing, we each had several rounds and got something different each time.

Love the vibe but damn you gotta wait four scores and seven years for a drink. Azmat looking bartender might ride into work everyday on the struggle bus because the man breaks glass every 3rd bottle flip. Better options to enjoy your evening.

Would love to be able to give a review, but we were not able to get past the front door due to my boyfriend wearing sandals. We were told that it was a safety issue due to many stairs, yet both girls in our group were wearing sandals and we were allowed to enter. Does this make sense? ‍‍

Great secret hole in the wall. I won't say more, I don't want you to go so it can remain my best kept secret in Dallas

It was 100 degrees out and they wouldn't let my friend in who was wearing nice opened toed shoes. Pretty sure they wouldn't have enforced this if he was woman. Goto Jettison in Oak Cliff if you want a real speakeasy.

Very nice vibes, great bartender, and they played mac miller the entire time we were there ????

Wonderful Vibe! Bartenders will make you a custom cocktail. Definitely worth the price and the time to enjoy an experience and speakeasy.

It's the secret bar you want to tell all your friends about. They don't have a menu, and they don't need one. The mixologist are well versed and can make you anything with just a few questions about what you like! Well I like! I like a lot!

This place has great staff INSIDE, but the bouncer/ door guy is AWFUL! I’ve now had two bad experiences and will not be going back.1st time he sat my group at a booth upstairs and before we could even get a second drink he told us we had to leave! Apparently a bigger group was coming .2nd time he told us they were at max capacity and he would “text me” when we could come back and before we even had fully walked away he let the group behind us right in. There was no “waitlist” or “call back”.
