The wife kicked off the night with the “Wish Me Luck” cocktail, to which the waiter responded, “Good luck.” For appetizers, we had the arugula salad, Caesar salad, and garlic bread. For the main course, I had the Fettuccine Avanti, and she had the Chicken Parm, which was a big hit.

Having spent considerable time in the northeast U.S. in family owned Italian restaurants in the Little Italy parts of town I finally found a place in Dallas that is of the same quality as several of the family owned (non-chain) places I’ve visited for years. I highly recommend Avanti.

Heard about Avanti from a family member and decided to give it a try this past Thursday. It was terrific! Absolutely solid top to bottom. A special tip of the hat to the bar keep. We dine out ALOT, and this gentleman is an artist. Exceptional talent. Don’t pass this up. You’ll thank me.
