LOVE LOVE the uniqueness of this spot! We're always looking to explore new ice cream spots and found this listed under top 10 in DFW. Came in on a Wednesday and was helped very quickly! We got a 3 cone flight and a small cookie bake. Both were delicious! We both really enjoyed the Carmel flavor especially with the hot cookie! Will be back again to try some more flavors and maybe an espresso!

Excellent delicious ice cream. Workers are extremely friendly and frivolously generous. Namely Preston and Charlie were excellent. Although there was a short man with a buzz cut who was just standing around. All in all excellent 10/10

Update 2023: ice cream has been kinda different lately, very icy texture instead of creamy. Read one review that said it's cause management changed, but I can't confirm that. Still very friendly staff and good coffee and atmosphere, except the noise of the machinery they use for either coffee or ice cream will give me a headache after a while.

Icy ice cream with super delicate and boring flavors. Not creamy whatsoever and a weird mouthful. There's definitely something missing in their ice cream. This reminds me of non-dairy, low-fat ice cream that you can buy at the grocery store...but worse.

Very badddd... not worth the price..it tastes more than ordinary. $7 for a cup that has some vanilla and a thin layer of toppings.

**Update: Management has changed. It is not as good. The ice cream taste like something I could buy at Walmart. That’s an unfortunate shift. Individuals were very rude as well.Past Review:This place is amazing!!! The Coffee Oreo is to die for! And the Cinnamon Toast Crunch hits!! Will be going back

Really nice interior and pleasant customer service! Happy to see 3 non dairy / vegan options. The 3 options were sorbets though so it would be nice if they offered a vegan ice cream since it is an ice cream shop. Super appreciate the amount of paper towels provided- very thoughtful addition!Side note: it is right by a university and very much has a college clientele/employees

Truly the worst ice cream I have had in a long time. The flavor was fine, but the texture was horrible. It was icy and left a gross coating inside my mouth. I got a 3 cone flight and my boyfriend got a two scoop cup, and all of the flavors had the same horrible texture.As we were leaving, another man who had just left right before us, stopped to ask our opinion and we told him we thought it was terrible, and he was like "Ok us too, worst ice cream ever." He proceeded to say that he and his wife and child were immediately going to a different ice cream place to get some that wasn't gross.The kids who worked there were nice, but that is about all I can say to recommend the place.

Love this place! Baldo's ice cream is amazing and a must. Dairy, dairy-free ice creams are designed to satisfy the customer's taste. I seriously love the fresh light dairy free options. Its so wonderful in these crazy hot temps. The staff is super friendly and they let you taste the flavors, so you can decide which one you want. We have been coming back for years now.Great place to go for a quick dessert and great parking.
I'm giving this ice cream shop 5 stars because of the two guys who were there when I was. These 2 gentlemen knew their stuff, were professional, and honest. After eating my ice cream, I used the restroom and left my purse inside. I didn't realize it till I arrived home. I called right away and they said they would grab it for me. I drove back and picked up my purse, which had a lot of money in it and it was all there. Thank you guys sooooooo much!Now for the ice cream.......I'd give it 1 star. The ice cream is rather soft and crystally. Not what I want in my ice cream. It was like it had melted and then refrozen. There are so many great ice cream shops in Dallas. Also, they are CASH ONLY. I will not be back.

Gave one star because zero stars was not an option. The ice cream here was absolutely Terrible. We couldn’t finish most of it because it was so bad. It was oily and left a gross film in our mouth. The texture was icy and crunchy instead of creamy. The staff was nice but the product was not.

Four of us stopped in for some ice cream on Saturday evening, June 10. We ordered a six-flavor ice cream flight, which is served on mini cones. Our flavor choices were chocolate, cotton candy, peanut butter cup, pistachio, strawberry, and vanilla bean. I latched on to the vanilla bean cone and didn't share. Everyone else in our party is more flavor-adventurous, so no one seemed to mind my rudeness. The ice cream seemed to be universally appreciated. My vanilla bean was fine. My enjoyment of the entire experience was tempered a bit by two things. First, the friendly young woman who dipped our cones very lightly placed the ice cream on the cones, making me wonder how in the heck they were going to stay on the cone when consumed. Second, the ice cream didn't seem to be frozen adequately. It was dripping down the cones from the moment it was first scooped. That also caused me some unnecessary stress. Perhaps I'm simply too highly-strung. I left with a very mediocre impression of Baldo's, but the other three members of our party seemed to enjoy it with no reservations.

The texture and flavor is not what it used to be, it's now icy and powdery instead of smooth and creamy.The flavor is almost non existent. Mint chocolate is not minty, and strawberry cream is not strawberry-y(?). I ended up throwing away my two double scoops on cones after eating 4-5 spoonfuls.The service was also poor. Granted it was a little busy on a graduation day (Saturday) with two staff members. It seemed like they were getting frustrated that people kept coming in the doors. I didn't hear either of them say hello or thank you to any guests for the 10 minute duration that I was there.I am very sad that I used to love this place, now only to abandon it after my disappointing visit.
