Banana Leaf Thai Cuisine

It was my first time there. I went about 1:45 after the rush. There was a party of 6 loud. On my other side was someone on his cell phone talking at his table. Loud. Things are changing in North Dallas.

Food was good, but they definitely messed up my to go box. I am sure u got food from a different table. I regret paying full price and the tip too. :(

I have in the past eaten here a lot, including taking my clients, workers, etc. I am updating my review as I realized I had mistakenly given a better rating than this place earned. On 2 occasions, I was served spoiled food. I did talk to the owner, but ultimately I have no desire to get something that tastes rancid again. I talked to the owner., but it was a waste of time. Owner tried to get me back in, but after all this time, I don't wish to try then again. Owner is the sort that wants to argue reviews rather than fixing the issues??

I only ordered dessert this time. I ordered via a food delivery app from my work. I ordered the Mango with sticky rice. It was delivered on time.

The food was delicious. Flavors were all present in the dish. Mango was ripe. Coconut sauce had a great flavor to it. Rice was ... Sticky.

I gave this restaurant 4 stars (their mango sticky rice deserves five stars) because I only ordered dessert. I will order a main dish next time and update my rating based on that dish that I order.

This restaurant used to be one of the famous Thai restaurants in the area. But today’s food was a disappointment. Poorly cooked meat and the fried ice cream tasted like chemical.
Surely not going back. As the quality is below subpar now. Disappointed.

I ordered take out (yellow curry) and was initially dissatisfied with the portion of the sticky rice that I received, but then received a quick phone call from the owner (Steve) to explain the misunderstanding. As a fellow business owner, I greatly appreciate that Steve was assertive in his response, in order to make sure sure I was happy.

Our family goes here all the time when we’re craving some authentic Thai food. It’s definitely the best in the DFW metroplex and the fact that they’ve been around for almost 40 years is a testament to their quality and service. You feel like you’re part of the family as soon as you sit down. The owner and his family are always walking around asking if you need anything. Their wait staff is also great, especially Ariana. Try this place out if you want great Thai food at reasonable prices. We love this place!

The food was decent but the pad thai was a little too sweet.

Nice decor and decent menu. I believe it could be great food, but I'm docking a few stars for service. We had a young server who put my 4 spicy pineapple fried rice in as a 0 spicy, but no one came to check on us or bring chili or ask if we needed anything until we were done. I probably would've been generous with 3 stars on service, but when the proprietor came around after I gave a different server my payment after trying to catch eyes with anyone who could get the bill, he only joked about firing the kid and didn't do anything to try to make it right on my end.

Banana leaf Thai is the place to go! They offer amazing service, food, and catering options- my company orders from them regularly and the employees are always excited to see them back on our monthly menu. I am looking forward to using them as long as they stay open for business! Kameron and Steve are the best in the business.

My husband has been going to Banana Leaf for over 20 years. Last night, Banana Leaf catered my husband’s surprise 50th birthday celebration. The food was delicious and they even delivered to the venue. Steve and Kameron, thanks for your patience and support in getting everything arranged. You were very easy to work with.

Vegetarian options: We were able to accommodate all of our dietary restrictions.

Dietary restrictions: Our no meat lovers were very satisfied.
