Barbacoa is authentic mutton.Not beef as most places have.Their salsas are awesome. Spicy but very flavorful.Even their tortillas were really good. I felt they may have been homemade.The only thing that wasn't impressive, was their beans...compared to everything else, they were just ok.Oh, and the Pancita (fried belly) was like a really good Chicharon.
I'm from out of town. Have never really had good Mexican food until now! Don't be fooled by the simple appearance outside and inside the restaurant. The food is so homely!From left to right, we had the Consomé, Barbacoa de borrego and Menudo. Got a glass of Horchata too!
Very simple interiors, great warm food, and loving servers. I think the server struggled a bit with English, as this is a fully Mexican/Hispanic place. But that only adds to the charm and doesn't take anything away from the food.
