Delicious food and great service. The brisket was so tender you can eat it with a plastic fork!

This place is a special gem. Just a black owned business serving up some good smoked meats in the middle of downtown. It’s low key, some space inside for a few large tables but the vibe of sitting at your uncles house for a cookout.
The food was delicious, brisket juicy, sausage, smoky and sides, well seasoned with flavor. Portions were generous and the owners made me feel right at home and made certain that anything I needed or wanted was taken care of. I left in a better mood than I was in! Great place and can’t wait to come back!

Wow, this place is a whole vibe -- a literal father and son operation. They're hilariously kind people talking to everyone that comes in like family, knew most of their regulars by name... extremely generous giving out samples to newcomers, and I haven't even mentioned how good the bbq is. Hands down the best I've had in Dallas. I had the burnt end loaded potato, and I can't recommend it enough.

Delicious burnt ends & sweet tea.
The service was great but we were a little bit tight for time and it took a bit longer than expected. If we had less of a schedule to keep, it would have been more enjoyable for us.

Don't waste your money there. They serve old food. The turkey leg smell really bad.

I thought the food was great and love that Tru and his father are running the place by themselves! Keep up the good work guys! -Kevan w/ the cowboy hat

Well I see the good reviews in my opinion it wasn't nothing to tell your mom about. I went for the turkey leg which they didn't have. So I got chopped turkey which was from a turkey 🍗. Not sure if that was sliced brisket no BBQ sauce given. Potato salad no comment. Everyone can't make potato salad, it was so small. I thought it was a kid's meal.
I waited for about 15 minutes for my order. I just wasn't impressed with the BBQ joint. The texture of my food was not good. Overall I will not go back. I ended up throwing my food in the trash.

In town for a volleyball tournament and was limited on time but stopped in for some authentic Texas BBQ. Cool space. The brisket was amazing. The people were even better. They need to take another trip to Chicago! I can see why this place has the following it does.
