So sad they closed! I visited in 2023, and it was top tier. I loved the classy, upscale atmosphere. The staff were friendly, and the food was delicious. The presentation of the food was excellent as well.
Nice vegan spot downtown. Food was good. Going again soon to try more of the menu.Edit: Been back several times and pretty much tried everything on the menu. My favorite is the spaghetti, it's the bomb!Second is probably the burger and third the flatbread pizza.

This is not a high-end restaurant. The food was good, but this is absolutely not fine dining. There aren't even physical menus, just QR codes. Came for dinner last Saturday for a special occasion and they were playing rock music. Our young waitress was extremely clueless: she couldn't give us recommendations when we asked about the menu, her timing was off when we told her we needed another minute to decide, she said they didn't have mocktails, and she never mentioned the celebration that we had notated in the reservation. I ordered the pasta but was told a bit later that they had run out (that's something you should communicate when a diner arrives, not after they've ordered.) As it got later, the music abruptly shut off and the restaurant was oddly quiet, and we asked our waitress when the restaurant closed. She said "I don't think there's a set closing time..." and she didn't bother to go find out the answer. The positive was that they offered a complimentary dessert for our table's birthday. But we eventually got kicked out after another staff member came by to tell us she was about to lock up. We said we had asked the waitress what time the restaurant closes, and this person said it was about 45 minutes ago. If this restaurant dimmed the lights a bit more, played ambient music, swapped out the tables & chairs for higher quality furniture, made nice menus, and trained better waitstaff, they could perhaps pivot to high-end and justify the high prices ($20 for a cauliflower dish in a restaurant like this as is, I couldn't believe it). The whole experience was confusing, so just lower your expectations if you're going out for a nice dinner.
I knew we made the right choice for dinner when we tasted the watermelon limeade. So refreshing and delicious. We tried the sweet potato empanadas and the spinach artichoke pizza which were both excellent. I would definitely go back, and I'm not vegan!
Hey Now Say Now Wait Now, it’s ya girl Jewelgoofy.Let me say we had a time yes lawddd a time.Walking up gave us the needed vibes and getting our seats made the stay permanent. From there we started with adult drinks, grapefruit Paloma for myself and a smoked sangria for my husband. For the appetizer we chose the sweet potato empanadas. They had the perfect crips along with amazing flavors and taste. They are a must order menu item. After we tried the tomato and cactus soup. Talk about a soup out of this world the flavors had our minds blown it was incredible. I wish it had bread or crackers to go with it but overall amazing. As for entrees I had the belse burger single patty and my husband had the margherita flat bread. We had zero complaints everything was too good we felt blessed. We even got a complementary dessert (triple decker chocolate cake) for our one year wedding anniversaryThank you thank you thank you Belse and crew!!
Went for a Sunday brunch with a close friend and we both enjoyed the food, the hot tea (we shared a pot) and the ambience. The music wasn't overbearing and soft tunes. The food looked as great as it tasted. I desire to return and invite others to visit this spot. 100% plant based!
No air conditioning on an extremely hot day. Drinks came after we were done with our meal. I felt bad, I was hosting people from out of town and thought this place looked nice, but by the time we left we were sweaty and ready to get out of there.
This went above and beyond my expectations of vegan dining in a classy atmosphere, but it also felt so casual and comfortable. My out-of-town guests were so thrilled with the atmosphere and very happy with their meals. The waitstaff was wonderful and I will definitely come back and feel proud to take more guests here as well.
Visiting Dallas and we were on the hunt for brunch, Belse hit the spot! We started out with the empanadas and they were super yummy, the dipping sauce took them next level. We also ordered the biscuits&gravy and blackened tofu Benedict, both were delicious. The side salad had the perfect ripened strawberries with an amazing strawberry vinaigrette. Atmosphere was super cute. Highly recommend!
LOVED THIS PLACE! I was really bummed they took the Ahi off the menu! I have always wanted to try watermelon cooked. I was also bummed that it was brunch only, however, everything was amazing! Great food! Reasonable price. Your typical vegan restaurant price. We will definitely come back. We came for my husbands birthday. The birthday lettering on the cake plate was so pretty! (I'm really bad about taking pics of the food. I get so excited to eat! Lol)

I went in the afternoon on a Saturday. The cauliflower tostadas were only okay, but the Brussels and cake were pretty good. My server was awkward or perhaps new, but that’s okay. I forgot to mention I parked in their preferred lot, so I paid $20 for parking for somewhat overpriced food/drinks. Cool place, though. It has potential.
Great plant-based menu (we were there for Saturday brunch). A bit pricey but it is high end dining in downtown Dallas, so no surprise there. Left full and enjoyed the meal. Recommend it.
Loved the ambiance, food and beverages. Don't miss the smoked sangria it's a wonderful presentation and a great drink! We had the krab cakes, sweets potato empanadas, tomato cactus soup, cauliflower steaks, and my favorite, panko crusted piccata. The chef is from a favorite restaurant in LA and brings the most popular dishes here! Staff was very attentive and friendly. Wished I lived closer to visit more often!!
Belse hit it out of the park in vibe, service, and taste. This is a must-visit if you're a vegan in Dallas and would be an excellent place to take your friends and family who are omnis. We visited over the weekend and went for dinner and again for brunch. We tried the crab cakes and empanadas for appetizers, the burger and picatta for entres, and the apple tart for dessert. Everything was perfection. The crab cakes, burger, and picatta could probably fool many non-vegans. The grapefruit Paloma was a bit strong, but still tasty. When we returned for brunch a few days later, we had the biscuits and gravy and burrito. The former was a masterclass on a classic breakfast dish and the latter was good, although we both agreed it was probably our least favorite of all of the dishes we tried as it had a sauce that tasted like enchilada sauce, which neither of us are a fan of. That being said, it's still better than most dishes at most places. We will absolutely be back when we are back in town again.
This was an amazing experience. It was our first time to visit this restaurant. We will be back again very soon! The food is phenomenal! So refreshing to go to an upscale plant-based restaurant.
