Our reservation was for seven, we didn't get out until 9:50. It took 49 minutes to get seated and another hour before the chef showed up. Other than that it was just okay. What you would expect from Benihana. Milkshakes were good and the server kept our drinks filed.
Aaron our server was awesome! We have been to Benihana several times in the past and he was one of the best servers we have had.
The wait staff was very friendly and attentive however the chef didn't come to our table to even start cooking for an hour and when he did he he got several orders wrong. Sadly the slow service at Benihana Addison has been an issue since they opened. We go to Benihana a lot and appreciate easier parking in Addison but the service is much better at Banner Way. Our reservation was at 7:30 and we were seated fairly quickly but due to the slowness of the chef coming we didn't leave the restaurant until 9:45.
Chef Manny was AWESOME. Catered to the entire family and put on such a great show for all us. The food was fantastic as it always is and the sushi was tremendous. Thank you guys for the amazing night!
Our chef Manny was great, per usual! My family and I have been to this location a handful of times and usually leave satisfied. The only complaints I have is the cold temperature in the building and the slow waitress service. All in all our food is usually cooked to perfection and the show is great for the kids.
We enjoyed a fabulous birthday lunch for me and my grandson. I can't wait to come back. The wagyu/chicken fried rice is my new favoriteš
Amazing food shout out to the G O A T Aaron!!!

Chief Cameron is the reason for my review.
Great attitude, energy and vibe. He made the entire table feel like it was a personal event. And his cooking š¤š¾š¤š¾š¤š¾ top of the line! We will be more than happy to wait for a seat at his table when we come back!

I already submitted a formal complaint to Benihana corporate, but I also wanted to warn others so you donāt waste your time here.
We had a 7:00 PM reservation and werenāt seated until 7:15. From there, everything went downhill. Our waiter didnāt take our order until 8:00 PM, drinks took about 30 minutes, soups didnāt arrive until around 8:15 (and I had some lovely hair in my soup which I let the waiter and manager know and nobody apologized), and our chef didnāt come until about 8:40 ā nearly two hours after we arrived.
We were seated with two other couples who had never been to Benihana before, and itās a shame this was their first impression of the brand. Meanwhile, multiple tables that arrived 20ā45 minutes after us were served and chefs came to their table before ours.
When we asked about the delays, we were repeatedly told āfive minutes.ā The hostess was dismissive, and when the manager finally came by, he dropped off appetizers that nobody ordered without saying a word, and claimed he wasnāt aware of the delay, and said this was ānormalā even though it clearly wasnāt. We were forgotten about and they couldnāt acknowledge that and apologize.
To make things worse, one couple at our table had to leave at 9:00 PM for another obligation (which they made the waiter aware of at about 8:00 PM) before their meal was finished cooking because of the delays, but they were still charged in full. My friends and I also had plans later that night and ended up being over 30 minutes late because dinner took far longer than expected.
No apology, no acknowledgment, no discount ā just excuses. This was one of the most disappointing dining experiences Iāve had, especially at a place I used to enjoy. I would not recommend this location unless youāre prepared to lose your entire evening.

Undercooked shrimp made me sick before I could even get out of the place. Been recovering all day.
Waited for 2 hrs for drinks to come out.

If you're a long time customer, Benihana's prices have nearly doubled. This restaurant is usually not as crowded as the other Dallas location, however the temperature is normally very uncomfortable. Each time we've gone, no matter the season, it's been too cold to enjoy our experience. The cook we had this time did a bunch of extra, unecessary things while cooking. Seems as if he'd adopted his own way of cooking/seasoning. For example, I always thought shrimp and veggies were apart of the appetizers. The shrimp was the very last item we received. He forgot to cook my entree with Teriyaki sauce. It was not a pleasant experience. The manager tried to make it right as we were leaving, but I think I'll try a different location next time. Too many consecutive misses on the last few visits.
Great experience
