We had reservations. . The chef did not arrive to the hibachi table until 1.5 hours after the reservation time and wasn’t even that entertaining! The food is overpriced and not even that great. You would be better off going to an authentic Japanese hibachi place.

The service was extremely slow at every stage, from taking our drink orders to bringing them out, taking our food order, and finally delivering the check. The food was decent, but we’ve had better experiences at other locations. This location is poorly ran, I’d recommend trying a different location.

The lunch time service is nice. It’s a calm environment and best for when you want to eat quickly at the bar. Jordan was accommodating and listened to our requests.

Came to pick up my order only to see the pick up station filled customers bagging their own food and leaving. Finally a server came and I told them I was here to pick up gave him my name and he tells me they don't have my order in their system. I was confused and just showed him my email confirming my purchase for the order and he just doesn't even bother to look at it. I even showed him the charge on my credit card he tells me it's just pending it'll give you your money back another lie cause I was charged 2 times for 2 Hibachi rice. I tried reordering it again at the restaurant and he told me it went through yeah only cause I just reordered it. Why the first one didn't go through idk why but i do know that guy (the manager) has zero customer service and problem solving skills

If you have a few hours to spare to wait for the chef then this is the spot. But during the wait you will get a salad and soup to last you about an hour so there’s a plus side.

Not only is the service and atmosphere mediocre at best, the experience is overall horrible. I would never recommend this to anyone in my life. I would rather spend my $300+ at any other Japanese restaurant in Dallas.

Unacceptable to be 90 mins behind schedule and ruin Valentine’s plans for multiple couples. I made a reservation a week in advance. Management needs to be better and cooks should know how to keep things moving. I know losing my business won’t hurt y’all, but good luck with the dozens of Addison locals you pissed off. Nicer restaurants who honor reservations inform guests when they are seated that their dining experience needs to be limited to 90 mins or whatever to accommodate reservations. Like who is in charge of this restaurant…. There’s months of reviews about reservations not being honored. Clearly no effort has been made to improve operations.

Also, I find it interesting that management only responds to positive reviews. True management would step up and reach out. On Valentine’s Day, your front of house manager didn’t even apologize. That’s mgmt 101.

I would never come back here because the services is terrible and it’s take an hour just to be sit and the chef took forever. I would never come back to a place that doesn’t serve on the right time

I made a reservations in advance for Valentine’s weekend. However, upon arriving, we were informed there would be an additional hour wait beyond our reservation time. It was incredibly frustrating and felt disrespectful, given that it was such a special occasion. I understand things can get busy, but what’s the point of allowing reservations if they won’t be honored? This complete lack of consideration for our time ruined our plans, and I couldn’t help but feel that they didn’t value their guests. It was a huge letdown.

We have given all zeros if I could! My first time here and obviously my last. We each ordered the splash ‘N Meadow dish, which was supposed to be 6 course meal and wasn’t. To spend $150 bucks at this place it’s not worth it. I would rather have a lean cuisine chicken teriyaki meal than come here that’s how bad it was. Hope this helps people in the future…don’t come here! Their lack of seasoning (only use salt, pepper, soy sauce and so much butter) is not the same as other hibachi restaurants. You literally have to pay extra for the teriyaki sauce, which is ridiculous, you have to pay extra for everything! Didn’t even get what we paid for and food was horrible. We both left leaving with nothing but indigestion and a horrible stomach ache.

Came here for Valentine’s Day. Wife had a reservation at 9. We weren’t sat until 10:05. It’s 10:40 and the hibachi chef still hasn’t started cooking. Bathrooms were dirty. Do better. Rocky would be rolling in his grave.

Made a reservation for Valentines Day a week in advance. Show up at our seating time to be told there was a 2 hour wait. They overbooked reservations. Will not be returning to this location.

Compared to other locations this place needs work. Server did know what ginger sauce was, despite putting it in front of me. Drinks sub par. Have been going to Benihana for 20 plus years. This location needs some emotional support. Everyone was kind, but appeared burned out.

We went for Valentine's Day. My husband made a reservation, and we still had to wait for over an hour. The service was really slow. The food was good but for the price the portions are small.

I've been to various Benihana restaurants in the past in the States (Texas - Dallas, and Alabama - Huntsville locations) and in London. Since after the Covid, the Addison location was the 1st time I have been back to it. I have to say that the thing that always bothered me is how you are forced to either eat your rice and "meats" separately or else all your food becomes cold and inedible. This why I don't make B. my personal choice of venue. But, I get the experience and the fun to watch the chef cook. The food, in general, is good. The service used to be decent. This time it was a work holiday party that brought me here. And it amazed me at how the quality of service has decreased significantly. We had the most unfriendly and inept waitress. I asked to get my drink in a signature ceramic mug - part of the fun to be at the Benihana's. I always get one as a memento. Sadly, the choices of the shapes were limited to 2 of the most uninteresting ones. My drink arrived in a glass, with the mug being brought separately, robbing me of the experience. Additionally, the 6 course meal (at a hefty price for a cold food) includes hot green tea, and a dessert (ice cream). We had a party of 11 people, and the Benihana people chose to quite literally swindle us out of the course 5 and 6... For the entire party of 11 people. I demanded me tea and ice cream. Had to repeat my order to 3 different people, including a manager, and then wait 20 min for them to dump a scoop of green tea ice cream into a plastic container for me to go. Green tea ice cream is the best part of the meal for me - I wasn't going to ruin my dinner because of the scammy way the manager runs that business... And I still never got the green tea, which has a digestive purpose at a japanese restaurant, not to mention the whole tea service experience... I doubt I, or my family and friends, will ever be back...
