3 different times now have Been told 45 minutes for delivery, there should be no reason for it to exceed 2+ hours . Very disappointing to get cold food, or Burnt food after such a wait. We used to buy from here weekly and I always recommend them over any other place. sadly we will not be going here anymore.

We ordered a party pack we were told it'd be 45mins to an hour. it took them an hour and a half and gave us a cheese sheet when we ordered and paid for 4 different toppings. the resolution was us to wait another 30mins for them to make another sheet and give them back the cheese sheet we got. of course they ended up taking way longer then they said to bring the new sheet. so in total we waited 3 hours for a sheet pizza and wings. they didn't even offer any compensation for the screw up. Worst experience ever.

4/11/24 Ordered a large Detroit Pepperoni & Mushroom for pick up. We are long time customers of Alphonso's and did not know they had another "in restaurant Pizza place called Big D Pizza" specific to Detroit style pizzas. SO disappointed! The dough was way undercooked and cheese was SO much that it wasn't melted and very few mushrooms were added. The ingredients tasted like an old refrigerator storing where flavors just don't mix. I am calling the Manager today when they open and letting them know that I want a $30 refund or credit. Will NEVER order this pizza again.

Their Chicken Venice is outstanding. This is the second time we have been there and we would recommend anything on the menu. The service is great and atmosphere is fun. Each time we visit Dallas we plan on coming back.

First know that Big D’s is actually inside Alfonso’s… it’s not a storefront on its own. The Detroit style pizza was very good. If our food had been the pepperoni pizza only, this probably would be a four star review. The crust was crisp and blackened in spots. The pepperoni cups were curled on the edges and everything had really good flavor. What brings the review down was the sausage topping on our other pizza- it was a major let down, dry and bordering flavorless. Not sure what they are using but it doesn’t hold up to the baking process. A crumbled sausage might be better. This maybe seemed like sliced pre-cooked and did not work.The other item we tried was a meatball parmigiana sandwich. Meatballs, marinara and mozzarella were all good, and in good ratios, however the hoagie roll was a bit of a letdown here. Did not seem fresh, and did not stand up to the sauce, becoming soaked through and soggy in spots. Still tasty overall, but not a standout. Based on the pepperoni Detroit alone, this place is worth a visit and the pizza stood up to take out and the drive home.
They served me pizza and it tasted like pizza. Can't complain, was good. I got a Detroit style pizza and enjoyed it.

Order the combination Detroit style and my pizza prayers were answered!!! This pizza was heaven sent!! Dough was soft, chewy, crunchy and packed with flavor!! I will be making the drive to Alfonsos big d pizza often!!! The to go service was excellent... good job!!
