Gathered with friends and were able to be seated even though our party wasn't complete yet. Our waitress was attentive, and very knowledgeable of the menu which was great since 4 of us had never been there. We all chose different items and enjoyed our meals very much! Can’t wait to return.

Service is always quick and everyone is really kind. The patio area is immense with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors.
The birria sliders are a must try along with the blood orange margarita.

Fantastic Experience at Birdies for a Going-Away Party!
We recently hosted a going-away party at Birdies, and I cannot say enough great things about the experience! We had lots of little boys at the party, and yet the entire evening went off without a hitch, thanks to the amazing staff. They were friendly, attentive, and incredibly on point throughout the entire event, making everything a breeze for us parents.
We loved our location within the restaurant—it was perfect for both the kids to have their fun and for the adults to enjoy themselves, too. The staff truly went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and comfortable.
A huge thank you to Birdies and the team for such a memorable evening. We will absolutely be back!

Had an amazing experience eating there with my family. Our server, Joel, provided excellent service! Really some of the best service we’ve had in a long time. Chips and guac was very fresh and tasted great. He replenished the chips twice without having to ask. Water and soft drinks never got under half full. Popcorn chicken, sliders and fries were really, really good. Can’t say enough good things about the experience we had. Highly recommend!

I love Birdie’s so much & am so happy they are in the neighborhood! I order the birria sliders every time…. You truly can’t go wrong with them! I haven’t explored much else on the menu because the birria slides are AMAZING!!! I crave them all the time! This is a beautiful restaurant & they have a giant outdoor seating area! Love this spot

We were looking for something new to try and remembered reading about this place a while back. We took a chance that it wouldn't be overrun with TX/OU fans, but fortunately, most of those peeps were leaving when we arrived. We were seated in very comfortable couches on the patio, and we're immediately greeted by our amazing server, Yana. The wine was good, a Sea Glass cabernet. I had spicy tuna wonton tacos, which looked as good as they tasted. No one tried to rush us. We were allowed to just sit and relax and drink our wine and enjoy the evening. They even have fly fans for the outdoor tables! Definitely recommend! We will be back without a doubt!

Just so obnoxiously loud inside. It’s not a nightclub. Waiters are always great and food is too. Management just needs to realize they’re in a restaurant

chicken sandwich is bland - not a hint of any of the ingrdients they list; fries have no taste whatsoever.

High hopes flew South at Birdie’s Eastside. We’d been eyeing this place in our neighborhood for a while, noting a consistently full parking lot and busy patio, and we finally decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is inviting. Hostesses were friendly and quickly seated us at one of the the coveted outdoor tables on a pleasant evening. It was moderately busy with most tables full outside but only a couple occupied inside. It took a several minutes but a waiter did arrive with waters, and we decided to place food and drink orders at once since we didn’t know how long the wait on food might be. Kitchen runners delivered order fairly quickly. All items correct. Unfortunately, that’s where the good ended. Our child got a pasta dish which he mostly enjoyed but we all noted it was absolutely swimming in sauce. The salmon grains bowl was probably the worst item we tried. While the base of farro, quinoa, and Brussels sprouts and corn was fine, the star of the show, the salmon had no seasoning…as in zero. It was dry and overcooked to the point of albumin seeping out. Tragic fish. My husband had the grilled chicken sandwich, and again they protein was woefully overcooked to the point of needing more condiment, any condiment, just to choke it down. Accompanying fries were tasty. About 75% of the way through our food, the waiter comes by for that first bite check. At that point we ask for the check knowing we won’t see him soon if we don’t. When it arrives, it has the two iced teas that we ordered but never received and gave up on. When we pointed it out, he mumbles an oh sorry. And presents the adjusted bill minus the tea. No offer to get us tea. No offer of a to go tea. No offer to fill our now bone dry water glasses. Suffice it to say, he laid an egg. It’s a nice atmosphere, and we’d hoped for better, but if this is the standard for food and service, it may as well have just stayed Luby’s. In fact, it’s not a stretch to say we have eaten better food at a Luby’s than what we had tonight. Squawk! Sorry, Birdie’s. Love my neighborhood and love the concept, but we’ll fly on by next time we find ourselves hungry on Mockingbird.

The first time my family went to Birdie’s Eastside on Mockingbird shortly after it opened, we did not enjoy our experience. Other parents’ lack of concern for their children and reliance on waitstaff to supervise their children ruined our meal. The waitstaff needed to act like babysitters which obviously and unfortunately impacted their ability to provide good service. We watched as one server got reprimanded by a parent when they asked that parent to watch their own child. We also watched as another parent brought a football for their children to throw around on the patio. It felt like eating at a playground.
Fortunately, Birdie’s Eastside got control over the above situation. We gave it a second chance and feel glad that we did! The food tasted good; we really liked the deviled eggs and flatbreads. Plus, the dessert tasted mouthwateringly delicious! And, our server acted friendly and provided attentive service.
Birdie’s Eastside features a covered patio, full service bar, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and several TVs. It makes for a great place to enjoy a tasty meal with family and friends.
Note: Birdie’s Eastside gets really busy on weekends and weeknights. Expect some difficulty finding parking and a fairly long wait for a table.
Parking: Birdie’s Eastside gets really busy so, while it offers a large parking lot and street parking in the surrounding neighborhood, you might find it difficult to find parking at peak times.
Kid-friendliness: One might say Birdie’s Eastside started off too kid friendly given that parents let their kids run around without any supervision. The restaurant addressed this issue but, it remains a great place for the whole family.

First time coming here and loved it! Wasn’t sure what to expect since this was the old LUBY’S but it was a great experience! Make sure to ask for Raziya! She’s such a great waitress and can give great recommendations on what to order! I’ll be back because of this first experience. thank you ??
Birdie's Eastside has a nice large patio to enjoy the weather when it's nice outside here in Dallas. Food is okay, get the queso it's pretty good, but other offers are nothing to write home about but entirely serviceable. Drink prices are fairly high for what they are and kids running all around the patio do detract. Nice spot, could be better.

Will not be back. Got there at 10 and there was a reservation at 11:30...umm, when did they start doing outdoor reservation's?! Long story short, they wouldn't let our group with kids sit down and be served; although we could have been served and finished before the party arrived. We ended up waiting over an hour with kids and the staff couldn't seem to figure it out or problem solve. This isn't a family friendly restaurant at all ; too many rules.
The restaurant is delicious, there’s nothing bad on the menu.. Their service needs some work, especially around to-go ordering.
