I never post reviews but we went here the Fourth of July it was pretty empty we didn’t get a greeting let alone spoken to our entire visit. We ordered drinks and an app we thanked our server and were blatantly ignored. I understand we are in the south and blatant aggressive racism is the norm… but I just don’t understand what is so hard about giving basic human decency especially when you are entering the space being polite and respectful. Won’t be returning we got the message we are not welcome.

Not a stellar first visit. Despite only 3-4 other patrons being present when we walked into the bar area, neither of the two staff members greeted us or said anything. Waited until they let us know it was open seating. First table we sat at we had to move from because something was dripping from the ceiling. Ordered the Irish Breakfast and the Shepherds Pie. Server came back a couple moments after taking our order to tell us that the cook had said that the “shepherds pie was no good”. So I ordered the fish and chips. My partner’s feedback on the Irish Breakfast was that it was missing some traditional Irish Breakfast components. He felt that the dish was so-so. I felt that the fish and chips was also average. Server was friendly and attentive. Clarified with our server about the shepherds pie because we weren’t sure we had heard her right and were just curious what the cook meant. She clarified that the shepherds pie mix is made in-house and that the batch they had was no longer fresh. Bummed.

Very poor imitation of a British pub. Barely any beers on tap and generally a rather sad atmosphere inside the bar. The patio is better on a nice day but there are other bars nearby that trump it in almost every way.

The staff was really great, and the atmosphere did feel historic. I didn't get to see the upstairs as they said it was only open during the weekends, but I did see one or two pool tables on the main floor. I went on a Monday evening and they were hosting trivia. I had the Guinness Beef Stew at the bartender's suggestion and it was absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend this place, and I hope to visit it again the next time I'm in town.

Smell like black mold near the entrance Too overcrowded

SIT OUTSIDE, QUEEN. Upon entering, you’ll be hit with a cloud of stench reminiscent of only the most remote gas station bathrooms you’ve experienced in your life. The entire indoor situation has been cursed with the misfortune of the following mixture of aromas: ammonia, Fabuloso, mold, the disappointment of my college years. The patio is where it’s at, y’all.

As soon as we walked in, the place reeked of urine and the food was so overpriced for the quality. I got the steak frites and the steak was unseasoned and dry even though I got it medium rare, and the fries were also very mediocre. My boyfriend got the chicken tenders which were also very mediocre and definitely not worth the price.

Came here for the United vs Tottenham Europa league final watch party. Terrible service from the waitress assigned to our area, a bigger hispanic lady, couldn't get her name. My partner and I flagged her down and she stated she would be back to help us, but proceeded to ignore us for the entire event while helping everyone around us. TVs were not good as the signal broke at one point and the channel had to be changed to a non-english broadcast. TV volumes were also low and not well placed. Shoutout to the bartenders who were very busy, which I saw when I had to go get a drink myself due to the lazy waitress. Never coming back here and recommending anyone to stay way

We were hunting for mimosas before we left downtown on a Sunday & it seemed our options were slim. But then we found this little pub in Uptown. The outdoor seating was exactly what I was looking for. The mimosas were perfect ! Absolutely great service. Our waitress was adorable. I wish I had gotten her name so I could give her a shout out.(She was working Sunday 4/27/25 at 1:30 pm) But anyway, she recommended the cheese curds and boy were they yummy! I don’t live nearby, but I will definitely be back anytime I’m in town. They also have a trivia night and great happy hour specials. We had a lot of fun here!

Our party was having troubles find a place to eat locally in the area. We stumbled on Blackfriar pub an they had enough seating for everyone. We was glad to find the place as the service was friendly, there was plenty of food options, as we had a few dietary restricted members with us. Everyone on our team was able to find something on the menu they would like. The desserts was limited but all delicious. Thanks for being in the right place at the right time.
