Hot dumpster fire.
I stopped by here when I first moved in to the neighborhood, I waited a good 15 minutes and no one showed up behind the bar so, I left.
I gave them a good 2 years, said let me check this place out again,
2pm on a Sunday afternoon, waited 10 minutes behind the bar with few other people and NO ONE SHOWED UP. loll
Then I went to Rodeo Cold, I got served in 45 seconds đ„Č
They wonât survive the gentrification of Old East Dallas.

I really want to make Bryan Street a regular stop but we are always disappointed there - the bar service is horrid. The blonde bartender thatâs been there for years only pays attention to people that appear to be regulars or friends.
A couple weeks ago I went in to have a drink and sat at the bar for 5 min while she talked to people, rinsed glasses, basically did anything but make drinks or acknowledge the majority of the patrons at the bar.
We used to come to Bryan St about once a week and even though the bar service was bad we still enjoyed the food and atmosphere. There used to be a young server with dark curly hair that was really nice all the time - havenât seen her when weâve been in.
Last summer someone backed into my car while I was inside and it was an act of congress to even get the owner to acknowledge me and I never did get a response from him. Itâs not really their problem but some kind of response would have been nice.
It was fun for a while. Will look for other neighborhood spots to check out.

I have been a loyal customer at Bryan Street Tavern for over three years, even frequenting Sylvanâs before it shut down. However, tonight was an absolute disappointment.
I witnessed the general manager, visibly intoxicated, engaging in a physical altercation with a customer, displaying excessive PDA in front of the entire bar, and later storming off when multiple patrons complained about his behavior. This alone was concerning, but what followed was even worse.
When tabbing out, our bartender, Joe (as listed on the receipt), mischarged us for drinks. I pointed out that someone else had ordered those shotsâI did partake in some, as they were offered to us, but I did not order them. Instead of handling the situation professionally, Joe immediately became defensive, claiming he had 20 years of experience in the industry and insisting that I had ordered them. When my girlfriend politely stepped in to clarify, Joe got in her face and demanded that she "shut up because youâre broke and obviously canât pay for your drinks."
This was especially absurd because the individual who actually ordered the shots had already stated he would cover them. To make matters worse, from the time we arrived at 11:30 PM until closing, Joe was taking shots behind the bar. I canât speak to whether he had been drinking before we arrived, but he was definitely drinking throughout the entire time we were there. I understand that bartenders occasionally drink at work, as Iâve seen at multiple establishments, but to be so intoxicated that youâre creating a scene, mischarging customers, and resorting to name-calling instead of resolving an issue is completely unacceptable.
When we asked to speak to the general manager, Joe claimed he was the manager, which seemed plausible since the general manager had already stormed off. However, when we persisted, we found the actual general manager passed out drunk at his deskâwhich we have on video.
Instead of resolving the issue, Joe continued to berate and insult us, calling us "broke, low-life, ratchet," and at one point, even charging at me, saying I was "lucky [another employee] was holding him back because he would beat my a."** Againâwow.
I have never experienced such unprofessionalism and outright hostility from staff at a bar I have supported for years. The fact that I have recordings of Joe disrespecting women at the bar and the general manager completely incapacitated in the back is just beyond disappointing. Since Google only allows photos, I will be adding those as well.
I am extremely disappointed and sincerely hope ownership takes this matter seriouslyâno paying customer should ever be treated this way.

I visited this establishment recently and was shocked to find that the jukebox had no R&B music at all. In a diverse area, itâs hard not to see this as intentional exclusion. Itâs disappointing and sends a clear message about who isâand isnâtâwelcome.
A business in a community like this should embrace diversity, not ignore it. I hope they reconsider their music selection and overall inclusivity, because no one should feel unwelcome in a public space.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?

DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!
The wait was long even though it wasn't that busy. When I finally got a chance the ask the bartender a simple question about the food, he was rude and dismissive. To top it off, I noticed later he added an additional tip on the bill. I see from previous reviews this isn't the first time. Definitely don't recommend going to this place.

This is one place I WILL NOT go back and patronize. The server got my order wrong 3 times and stated that he was going to cover the order he got wrong, but DID NOT. This also over charged my card. The food is NASTY and the drinks taste like rubbing alcohol.

I have visited this establishment on multiple occasions and never experienced such poor service. For starters, the bartender had airpods in both ears as soon as I approached the bar. Service was extremely poor. I came in to place a togo order and the bartender ignored me. When he finally did greet me, he was at the computer as if he was taking my order. So I went to the restroom, came back, and after over 15mins the bartender approached and asked about my order because he couldnât find it. After reciting my order, the bartender became frustrated with me and kicked me out. He told me âwell I donât want to take your order anymore so you can just leaveâ. So I left.
As I sat in my car, another patron attempted to get a drink and that same bartender ignored him for so long that the patron decided to leave and go to another establishment.
I truly enjoy this restaurant and I love the wings. But I will not tolerate disrespect or ignorance.

I donât know, but this is just how I feel. I went and they had absolutely no dark liquor for me It feels like itâs specific targeted towards black customers. Only thing available was beer, vodka and tequila. Not even the option of any type of dark liquor. I talked to other customers that were there at me all agreed on the same thing. It seems they want to keep certain people out, but I donât know thatâs just my opinion.
