Great food and service- but food was served a little cold on a night that was not at all busy
Delightful experience. Staff was attentive and pleasant, food tasted great. Chips and salsa is amazing! Thank you.

They are not open on Sundays
I can see why they’re only open on the weekends and I should’ve trusted the bad reviews!!
Unfortunately was the only tex-mex/Mexican food we could find nearby. My tacos had a CRUMB of cheese on them. Ridiculous!
My fiancé ordered the “queso de queso” from the menu and it was literally a cheesy roll up from Taco Bell with cheese dip on top for a ridiculous amount of $$$.
Service also sucked, only one server on a Saturday night was weird, everyone seemed to have issues with their orders, and our server passed us several times over the course of 15 minutes but never stopped to check in or bring a refill until we were done eating.

I liked Herrerra's. Food and service were both very nice. Had a small lunch of quesadillas with fajita beef. Megan was at the bar and took perfect care of me.
I arrived at a very busy time but was able to sit at the bar as a single. If you have a large group (5+) prepare for 30 minutes wait at peak times. Prices were premium given the location.

Considering it’s next to the convention center, We were really pleased with our meal. Great, authentic flavors, yummy chips and salsa for the table, and attentive staff. The corn tortillas are homemade and a must-eat!

We had a wonderful experience at Café Herrera! Despite it being a busy night, our servers Jalan and Megan were absolutely phenomenal — attentive, friendly, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our entire family had everything we needed.
The food was delicious, and I especially appreciated that the chicken tacos were gluten-free, which made ordering easy and stress-free. The flavors were fresh, portions were generous, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
Highly recommend if you’re in Dallas and looking for great service and even better food. We’ll definitely be back!

I enjoyed this yr experience. I was just disappointed the menu and food was not the same as Herrera’s Oak Cliff. I was hoping it would be the same when we stopped in after the Convention Center. Still good but not amazing like Herrera’s OC.

Went for lunch today and I can honestly say this was the WORST Mexican food I have EVER had. Chips were so HARD I almost broke my tooth. Asked waitress if I could get another bowl of chips and the ones brought were worse than the first. Salsa no flavor and shrimp enchiladas no better. Won't ever be back.
Was working DreamHack at Kay Bailey Hutchinson Covention Center, stopped in for lunch. The chips and salsa was AMAZING. I wasn't that hungry so I ordered the kids Chimichanga, came with rice and beans. Everything tasted good, service was good, not too busy.
Trisha (mgr) took good care of us, very attentive and friendly.
I will be back.

It was my first time here over memorial weekend and we sat at the bar. The food was good and the bar staff were very attentive.
Overall enjoyed the place and experience. Our wait was mainly due to having a party of 6 but smaller parties can get in pretty quick if it isn't busy.
The menu is small but with that the food prep was relatively quick to serve once ordered.
Good food and service.
Food was excellent. Well prepared and timely. Service was very good. Atmosphere was a little more diner-like than I prefer, but we will certainly be back…so I guess the atmosphere wasn’t that big an issue. 😁
I think that for what you pay, this is very average tasting mexican food, presented in a very basic way. Also, when you sit at the patio, you have to order at the bar, pay ahead, and they bring your food out but don't provide full service, so won't bring silverware, chips, or even water to your table. The patio is actually nice, with some lounge chairs and couches under some pretty trees. The location is very convenient if you are attending an event at the convention center.
