The food is basically not Tex Mex or Mexican. Salsa tasted like canned tomato purée. The refied beans were horrible - really strange color, texture and zero flavor. The chicken quesadillas were ok, but nothing I would recommend. Nothing but tortilla, chicken and cheese. No vegetables. Also they don't have any hot sauce in house so you can't even make the bland good a little better. Will never go back. Our server was excellent though and very honest about the food.
came for the margarita mile in dallas! Awesome!

Shrimp enchiladas were amazing! Good for gluten free people
Enchiladas verdes. A fairly simple dish, but this place knocks out of the park. Delicious and filling.

On Sunday, my husband and I visited Cafe Herra anticipating a delightful Mexican culinary experience. Unfortunately, our visit fell short of expectations. Our Pollo Monterey orders were incorrect, and the quesadilla arrived belatedly, after our main course, which was served cold. The cook's behavior led to my plate being microwaved. We received excuses when inquiring about the delay. I had to request tea refills repeatedly. The manager's response was unhelpful, implying we were at fault, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Our experience warrants a zero rating for both food and service.

Sasha is an amazing waitress! She was so accommodating! Need to get Miller lite though. Food was fabulous. The salsa is on point.

Tried to charge for a drink we never received. Waited for over an hour on food that was not put in. Manager was horrible, did not try to at least comp the drink. Probably would have tried to wait if they would have offered something.

I walked in and the place was almost as hot is it was outside (in the 80’s). I was sat immediately and ordered sweet tea w/lemon & guacamole - the guacamole was pretty middle of the road. The bad part was the napkins. They smelled like they were washed with the kitchen mop water. After wiping my hands off, I had to wash them to get rid of the smell. My waitress was very nice though and offered good service. There are too many really good places to eat Mexican food to go back.
