The waiter took the wrong order and made us wait for 1 hour. The chicken kebab was truly a disgrace.

Solid experience. Food was amazing, timing of entrees was great. We had a slight miscommunication where one of the Tapas was not ordered, but they immediately made it right for us. Would definitely come back!

I hope this gem gets the recognition it deserves!! This is a family owned business, not a chain so don’t expect your food to come out strikingly fast. While you’re waiting- you’ll get free pita bread that I recommend enjoying with the spicy hummus (to die for)! The tabouli salad is the best I’ve ever had. Grilled tomatoes were fresh and beef tenderloin was as juicy as promised! Everyone is soooo friendly and makes you feel right at home. I loved sitting in the patio area but inside is just as welcoming! You won’t regret giving this place a try.Dietary restrictions: Options for all! Mediterranean food is the best.

Cafe Izmir was amazing! Hadad, the host and owner was so personable and made perfect recommendations. The food quality was excellent. The hummus and tzaiki were so fresh. The shrimp and tenderloins were delicious and melted in your mouth. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

Cafe Izmir is a treasure! Always bustling with diners enjoying superb creations from the kitchen. I love the cozy friendly atmosphere and the delectable food. Great for a date night.

Cafe Izmir is one of our favorite stops. The food is really good and so is the service. The staff is very friendly and helpful with recommendations from the menu. The dining space is small so try to get a reservation or be prepared to wait a bit on weekend evenings as you would with any popular restaurant.

The food, ambience, and vibe was outstanding. The same family through decades still runs it and works there. We felt like we were family. Highly recommended. Service was spectacular. Great prices.

The food at Cafe Izmir is always freshly prepared and delicious. For appetizers we love the hummus (WITH garlic! No "date" hummus for us), falafel, the cheese platter, dolmas, and beef piroshky. Do NOT miss out on the grilled lamb chops. They are always tender and amazing! Also, the pomegranate shrimp is one of their specialties and very tasty. Both beef and chicken kabobs are always really juicy and perfectly grilled. We like to order the portobello mushrooms, grilled vegetables, aspargus and baked sweet potato. And of course Mama's saffron rice! Beau, Nick, their mama and WHOLE staff are a delightful gift to the Dallas restaurant community. The service is attentive and you are treated like a warm friend. (Shout out to Omar for rocking a busy Valentine night!) Cafe Izmir is both a festive and yet intimate place. Whenever we are seated I always instantly relax because I know we're in for a lovely evening with fantastic food.

Not very impressed :/ We ordered the dinner for two and I was very disappointed. For $75, it wasn’t really worth the price point and some of the choices we had didn’t taste amazing. For example, beef piroshki were very oily and almost tasted like an egg roll in a way. I will say the best part is the hummus, pita, and sweet potato.

We had a party of eight and everyone enjoyed the experience. The service was great, the food was great, and the value was great. It's no wonder that this place has been around for so many years. Only downside is that they only serve beer and wine and no liquor. Aside from that, it perfect casual dinner place for 2 or 10 people. We'll be back!
