Arrived on a Thursday evening about 6:30 pm. There was less than a handful of people there. The hostess was super nice and friendly. The server I forget his name was nice and accommodating. We ordered a few tapas. The basket of rustic bread was not rustic at all. It was cold and looked like it was bought from Albertsons. The mussels were good the I liked the seasoning. The mussels did not taste gritty. The tablas de queso tapas was just okay, a few sliver of cheeses and the fig cube was hard as a rock could not even slice it. The grilled lamb skewers was super disappointing. The flavor was on point but the texture was over cooked and dry. We even mentioned it to the server when he asked. The mushrooms in lustau in cream sherry sauce was probably the highlight for me. Perfectly cooked and flavored. The octopus shrimp cerviche was more tomato, onion than octopus. The carne de ajo was really good. All in all sub par food and wont go back sad to say. I really was excited to try this place. Maybe we came on an off day??

The ambiance here is great and the service was friendly, and professional. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
The food was a big disappointment. The paella was warm at best and completely bland. It honestly felt like it wasn’t made to order but reheated instead, especially considering I was dining there about two hours before closing. For a Spanish restaurant, that’s pretty unacceptable.
Overall, this place is fine if you’re just looking for a nice atmosphere to drink wine and socialize, but if you’re coming for the food, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

I had the pleasure of performing and dining at Cafe Madrid. The atmosphere was contagious with friends and family having a great time. Our dinner is always amazing! The calamari was crispy a touch of the Aoili with a twist lemon took me back to Sevilla, Spain. The wine was rich and flavorful. Flamenco Fridays are the best!

It’s hard to really give a good review on this restaurant because of the nature of which a family of four was seated, adjacent to a table of extremely loud College kids.
I don’t know if the hostess was well established as a hostess, and did not see this error but it panned out in the worst ways possible Ware politics, bad taste in language and exclusive affluence that we were not in all impressed by from a family perspective.
The service was especially bad and it’s hard to tell if it was actually the waitress or the food preparation for what was ordered, but in any case, the service was much slower than you would expect for Spanish tapas, which I have had before.
The best part of the food was definitely the fried olives, as a food experience.
The worst was definitely the atmosphere and the care and consideration of customers who are hoping for a great experience and end up completely disappointed

we loved our dinner here! it was easy to make a reservation with Cafe Madrid for my friend’s 30th birthday dinner.
the food was delicious. our group ordered plates in trios of protein, carb, & veg, & every plate was delicious. the shrimp, lamb meatballs, & fried feta in honey were group favorites.
the service was excellent. our waiter took great care of us, kept our glasses full of sangria, & added a little extra flair to the birthday dessert.
the ambiance was charming & comfortable. it was friday night so they had live musicians playing well-balanced instrumentals.
absolutely will be back soon!

Cafe Madrid is the best spot in Dallas. Hands down. I take all my out of town friends, family & coworkers here. It holds so many great memories. Earlier this month we had our engagement party here because cafe Madrid holds so many great memories for us! The service was amazing (as always) and the management was extremely well organized throughout the whole process (special shoutout to both Donica and Yasmine!).
We loved the food and all our guests had a great time. If you’re looking for a spot to hold an event or party, this is your place! (And get the croquetas, they’re my favorite!!!)
We love you Cafe Madrid❤️thanks for all you do
