Had reservations for 2 for the wife and I’s anniversary. We sat for an hour and were never served or attended to whatsoever. Waiter after waiter passed by and never took our order. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone if ignoring customers is what this establishment is about. Sad because we came ready to spend and are well known tippers and handing out blessings.. smh 0/10.

1 star is being generous. Service was very poor. Reserved patio for husband birthday and bottle service. Didn’t get the bottle until 1.5hrs later upon arrival. When I complained the owner/manager has the nerve to say the other party waited 2 hours. Like that’s supposed to make me feel better. My guest food was either wrong or never delivered until several reminders later… no water brought to the table after asking several times. The food was also very bland. It could be a really good vibe but because of the extremely poor service I will never return there. This is by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had

Came to cafe nubia because I’ve heard great reviews from friends who previously visited. Table of 6, we were sat right under the ac vent and it was directly over our table. We were sat at 8:50, didn’t get food til almost 10, ordered a round of drinks at the same time we ordered our food, just for 40 mins to go by for the server to tell us, they didn’t have 1 ingredient for the drink and the Food took an additional 30 mins and 3 of the 6 plates were either cold, over seasoned or overcooked. Server only came to the table 2x the entire 2 hours we were there. Had to go to the bar for help and had to find the manager to help resolve some sort of solution.

Very disappointing experience at Cafe Nubia. When we arrived there was no one to greet or seat us. We waited before finally being seated outside.
We ordered drinks and food at the same time, but it took about 30 minutes just to get our drinks. I ordered the oxtail with jollof rice — the rice was cold and extremely salty, and the oxtail was overly oily. My friends ordered the suya tacos and chicken and couldn’t even eat their meals. The food was left untouched.
Everything took a long time and the food quality was very poor, which is surprising because this place used to be good.
The only positive part of our visit was our server, Madeline. She was kind, patient, and very attentive. Her service was 10/10 and she really tried to make the experience better.
Unfortunately, because of the overall experience, I won’t be returning, and neither will the eight friends who were with me.

We came for Thursday Ladies Night which included a free lemon drop shot or green tea shot. It featured a fun karaoke night as well.
The place wasn't packed at all. I just felt our server was focusing on serving the other two tables around us more. He definitely forgot to come back to our table a few times through the night. It was a group of 3 of us. After we got settled in we told him we were ready to order. He came to take my one order only then vanished. He didn't take the orders of the other two ladies with me right then there. Before they were able to speak he was literally gone. We all wanted to order together. I've never experience that before. Then we had to flag him down after 15-20 mins to put the orders in. We also ordered a hookah to our table. Someone else was doing that separately but they never replaced our coals for the entire time we were there. But again the tables around us were getting better service than ours.
I had the spinach dip and lemon pepper nubia wings on the reverse HH menu. Which is W/Thrs/Sun only from 9-11p. The food was tasty. I enjoyed both.
I will say the vibes and atmosphere would bring me back but the customer service definitely needs an adjustment. It was one major turn off to our night. The karaoke night was fun!

The food was delicious. The Chef and the owner were very friendly, helpful, and talented. This Restaurant is clean and we'll decorated. Location excellent. We had a great time. My little sister had a wonderful birthday party here! This is a must go💯

The food was good, and they weren’t busy. I got the oxtails and it was good, but the service was horrible. Me and my wife sat down and waited 20 minutes before I had to ask the host who our server was. It took our server another 10 mins to get to our table. When she got there we ordered our food and alcoholic beverages. The food got there and I was halfway done with my meal before my drink got there( my wife cancelled her Glass of Wine). The music was decent but the artist sang every song with some type of autotune device. They also added gratuity to our ticket, even though it was just me and my wife. I wouldn’t go back.
Truly enjoyed the gospel brunch and my catfish. Roni are waitress was extremely attentive. All staff was great

Food was good, but cold. The advertisement of live band was false. It said there was a live band with buffet on March 7th, but the manager said that isnt true and you must read fine print. He also was unaccommodating to the large birthday party we had.

Enjoyed another wonderful Birthday Experience for our group. Staff is always courteous and friendly and drinks are on point. Highly recommend this spot for a group event, indoor and outdoor space is amazing.
This was a horrible experience. The food took forever to come out then it was cold. I did not get what I ordered. Waitress said several times it was coming out but never did get it. It took an hour to get a glass of orange juice and I got a watered down fruity drink. Not orange juice. The food was either overcooked or undercooked. Awful experience.

Yeah, it's a NO for me. Drinks are weak and served in plastic cups. I asked for a martini and it was brought in a water glass. Food is mediocre. The aesthetic is nice but food and drinks are disappointing
