We had a reservation and were on time. There were tables available, but we and another couple had to wait. Service could have been better. Waited awhile before our server came. We were ready to order but had to wait about 10 minutes to do so. The 3 men sitting behind us were so loud we couldn't hear ourselves talk. All they were doing was drinking. Maybe they should have been seated in the bar area?

The most exquisite dining experience I’ve had in a while! Top notch service, quality food and absolutely 5 Star dining. Exceeded my expectations. We were seated promptly, served elegantly and dined finely. Thank you for a great experience!!

Overall the experience was fine, but it took 20 minutes to get seated after our reservation and our table felt squished and uncomfortable. Then no one came to our table for another 15, and when they came back they left again so we didn't get to order until an hour after our original reservation. Our food took an hour to come out and by then we were so ready to leave. It was nice that they comped our appetizer and gave us free desert, but the disappointment stems from the fact that this was a ‘treat yourself meal' and we just felt really underwhelmed.

I came here for a birthday dinner. The staff was super friendly and was very attentive and answered all of our questions on their very large menu selection. We ordered a bottle of wine for the table. It was very tasty. For my entree, I ordered salmon that came with sautéed spinach and truffle fries. It was all very good and nice portion sizes. We also shared a dessert, which was the Pecan ball. It was basically ice cream, dipped in chocolate, rolled in pecans. Even though it was a simple dessert, it was tasty. My only complaint was that you could tell that this restaurant has been around for years, since 1980. The seating is very close together. It was very challenging to get in and out of our seats without hitting the seats behind us. Thankfully, everyone was very friendly and didn't seem to mind the tightness. They also offer complimentary valet parking and if you choose to self park, the parking lot is just a few yards away and there is decent parking, but it is in a shopping center with other businesses so I would definitely recommend taking advantage of the valet parking. This is definitely a nice restaurant to go to for a special occasion or if you want to treat yourself.

I took my king to a fine dining place we have not tried before: Café Pacific. It is small inside, so booking reservations was the right move for us. Upon entering, we were seated to the left in a more closed off, intimate area which was nice considering we were for a birthday dinner. The bread and butter came, and it was really good but perhaps not quite as good as other competitors (i.e. Ocean Prime). We ordered some drinks (Old Fashioned and Paper Plane), and both were very strong yet simple and tasty. Next was the appetizer: spinach and artichoke dip. As someone who is not the biggest artichoke fan, let me say that this was amazing!!! The artichokes were diced very well, which is normally an issue when eating this. Not this time, though! It is perfect for sharing. You may need more of the bread-like crisps that come with it though as the portion size is not small. I ordered the Asian Chilean sea bass, while he got the salmon. I did not try his salmon, but he did try my sea bass which we both agreed was nothing short of incredible! The fish itself was cooked perfectly, and the crispiness on the outside of it was absolutely divine. The soy sauce was not too salty, and the spinach soaked it up which elevated the whole dish. This is one of the higher-priced seafood dishes but for good reason! Also, the asparagus fritti, which was fried with grated parmesan, was wonderful with a great creamy garlic butter sauce of some sort! On the other hand, my boyfriend was not as impressed with his salmon dish. He said it was simply grilled and was tasty but could have used more flavor (perhaps a sauce or something to help elevate the smoked salmon flavor). I don't think he will order that again. I ordered another drink (Vesper), but unfortunately I did not like it at all. With a combination of gin, vodka, and wine, it tasted like Dawn dish soap. That is not an exaggeration. I didn't send it back because I don't like to do that, so I drank it and kept quiet. For dessert, they gave us their signature dessert with ice cream, nuts, house-made chocolate sauce, and some kind of caramel-almond crisp. It was different yet delicious! It reminded me a lot of fried ice cream which I haven't had in a very long time. Overall, I do feel that for a little over $200 for everything, the food was great but not quite $200 worthy (maybe more like $140). Would I come back? Well, there are a lot of fine-dining competitors where I know I'm going to get exactly what I want and will easily pay for it. Café Pacific just needs a bit more flavor with their food. I would return but not for a long time.

Helped a friend celebrate her birthday here. I arrived a bit late and the hostesses had a difficult time locating my party by name. Thankfully, the restaurant is small and I was able to find them. Our server Walter was very entertaining and helped to make the night memorable. I ordered a lemon drop and a redfish dish that didn't look like much but was really flavorful! Crab Louie salad was ordered for the table and it too didn't look like much but blessed my tastebuds! The staff were friendly, drinks strong and food delicious and I highly recommend giving them a try.

Close friends frequent Cafe Pacific on a regular basis so we gave it a try on a special occasion, a double birthday on March 2nd. First, the ambiance was nice with quite an extensive menu, definitely top tier as our friends would attest. And in fact the food selection across the 5 of us did not disappoint in terms of quality. Unfortunately the positive review stops right there. Without at least descent service the food quality really doesn't matter and hence a 2 star review. We had server Leo J, ticket #484451 who constantly dropped the ball. For one guest who was gluten intolerant, he had no clue what was on the menu to accommodate for this resulting in multiple trips back and forth to the kitchen to inquire. Finally after ordering, the soup came out but he completely forgot the ceasar salad. After asking, 15 minutes later it arrived. Throughout the near 2.5 hour dining experience (way long) we had to ask multiple times for another waiter to find our server. During all this we watched other tables being turned multiple times with exceptional service with visits by the chef himself. In the end no acknowledgement on the birthdays (though we weren't looking for any) and a thank you for spending our evening with CP. Ordered 2 deserts which of course were full charge. Leo really didn't even try to provide descent service. Very sub par and very surprised a product like this came out of Cafe Pacific. Our friends were floored by the takeaway. If you choose to dine at CP, odds are you'll get good service but for management to allow a sloppy server slip thru the cracks like this is beyond me.

The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. The services provided by the professional management and staff are the main reasons that we keep coming back. The old world elegance is a rare thing, and we value their focus to make sure that everything about the dining experience is excellent. I highly recomend this restaurant.

Oysters-good. Crab cake- excellent. Caesar salad- mediocre. Sole meunière- ok, excessively buttery and mushy. Trufle fries- ok, over salted. NY prime- very good. Drinks- very good.

This place is really nice in ambience. The food was ok, not a lot of flavor. Server was nice; however, toward the end of the meal it felt like the made all the signs it was time to leave. Nice place, not worth the price tag.

Surprised

What a delightful dining experience celebrating a milestone birthday! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and welcomed to a lovely evening of dining. I was especially impressed that our waitstaff told us to take our time!! We enjoyed their delicious Danish blue cheese salad followed by sole menuere, classic French, and perfectly prepared. We were surprised with a birthday dessert...pecan-coated vanilla ice cream smothered with decadent warm chocolate sauce. The noise level was non-descript; what a delight to hear my husband talking!! In my opinion, Cafe Pacific is the best restaurant in our area of Dallas. Well done!!

Met my cousin for lunch.....absolutely nothing was left for chance. The chef accommodated me with a bowl of seafood gumbo instead of just a cup....not on the menu. Wine was superb and service was excellent as usual. Even though I live a good bit away I will always continue to dine here.
