The jerk chicken is okay, could be more flavorful. Sides were kind of mediocre, though the plantains stood out.

Updated review: went today Saturday 11/1 to try the doubles worst ever it tasted stale and frozen and was hard at the ends and the chickpeas tasted undercooked and tasted like just masala and didn’t have any pepper sauce! A different girl who was there today said her dad is making it the pepper sauce that his restaurant. So keeping that in mind there’s a halal sign I was happy about but now got me rethinking it all! So when I had visited couple days before I was “told only the chicken patties not the beef and only certain things on their menu is halal. I wanted to try the chicken patty that that day when I went couple days ago but they had ran out. So today when I was double checking about the halal stuff and saw there was chicken patty the owner daughter told me neither the chicken or beef patty is halal. So seeing another Muslim couple went to buy chicken and beef patties I went back to ask her (3rd time ) then she changed her mind said that oh yeah it is hmmm after that I’m not trusting it. Went back to her with my hard and stale doubles and told her about it. Don’t recommend save your trip only frozen stale food and lies serve here!

Excited I ran into this spot that has Caribbean halal food. Was craving doubles and cream soda but couldn’t have it this time cause the chef was away but the young girl at the counter was really nice

The food was okay. The service was not great. The macaroni was mushy. We got jerked chicken, but they charge extra for cold jerk sauce. A little disappointed.

Not going here simply based on the horrific drivers for their company car going 50MPH in the left lane with hazards on and no traffic causing a HUGE pile up of cars behind them. If their service is anything like their driving, it’ll be horrible and disgusting.
Travel far, so excited to try their roti dishes but was sold out by 2:30 on Saturday. 😞😞

This place is absolutely phenomenal. I've never had anything close to this good for jerk chicken. Highly recommend the perk chicken and cabbage spinach greens.

They never answer the phone, then the automotive person says what do u want ? Huh !! And nothing else insane, they didn’t have no roti skin for a whole week 😤 which is on the menu everyday, waited on the line for 20min not one time did she say no roti available today !! I’m gonna try one more time cause I’m from NY it’s the only roti in Dallas.

I was really looking forward to Caribbean food today. I felt disappointed in the food even though I has a great conversation with the guy at the register. I'm thinking maybe Trini food isn't my thing. I know the Islands all have various ways they prepare the same types of food. Today I got oxtail and curry chicken. I expected stewed oxtail in a gravy. I got dry oxtail that was maybe oven roasted? it also tasted like Allspice was in the seasoning. They were tender but dry, just not what I was expecting. Curry chicken was just okay, seasoning seemed a little bland, very light curry. As for the sides, did not like the cabbage, mac and cheese and plantains were really good. Rice and peas was decent. Probably won't go back when there are some other real good options at the same price point.

I’ve had the jerk chicken, the patties, and all the sides. I thought the jerk chicken was awesome to be honest and everything else really good. Nice folks running the place.

Tried the jerk chicken combo. BEST jerk chicken recipe I ever tasted. And the peas and rice also. I loved it and wishing them much success so they can expand into my neighborhood!

Website does not work, nobody answers the phone and when you come up there you’re waiting 10 minutes for someone to show up just to be rude. Mind you, the phone is ringing and ringing as I waited. I’ve been to this establishment before a few times and was greeted by the owner who is kind and receptive. Today I had the misfortune of meeting a tall man with locs who was so short with me. If you don’t want to deal with customers, don’t work front of the house taking orders and deal with the public. Trinidadian food is niche in Dallas and doesn’t need rude people making customers think twice in a food hall full of other options.
