Classic Tex Mex restaurant owned for 40 years by the family that started El Chico. The recipes taste like when I was a kid. Some of the best ground beef, chile con carne and pork tamales I’ve ever had. One of the few places in Dallas you can get a puffy taco! It’s usually quiet, never a wait and no margaritas here …

I love this place!

I knew the food was good when the parking lot was almost empty on a Sunday. The waiter was super friendly, and the food was great. The salsa was amazing ? homemade flour tortillas. 10/10

This little hidden gemnis wonderful! Thelma is great ?. The food is excellent. I hope by posting this review it doesn't get too big. Lunch is busy but it's a quiet little place for an intimate dinner.

The food is it like it used to be we got a frozen piece of cake nothing like the good old days but the service was great very nice !

How do we not go here more often? We love supporting our local community, the story of casa cavazos is beautiful, opened in 1980, and the decor reflects the time period but it's clean, good music, a big tv. We loved the light and airy chips and hot sauce was spicy. My chicken relleno was stuffed full of meat, with rice beans and toasty homemade flour tortillas.Husband had the Banderas enchilas and all 3 were great! ?Oh and BYOB! No corking fees ?
