Street appeal, you won’t find it, but a new neon sign that reads “Delicious Mexican Food” is what made me come in after a 14 yr drought.

I’d taken so long because the first time it wasn’t great. The salsa is still cold, the chips, they are okay.

This time around the inside seemed super dated and dark, not a great atmosphere at all.

My guizo de rez was the bomb, rice as beans delicious. My companion also loved...

Classic Tex Mex restaurant owned for 40 years by the family that started El Chico. The recipes taste like when I was a kid. Some of the best ground beef, chile con carne and pork tamales I’ve ever had. One of the few places in Dallas you can get a puffy taco! It’s usually quiet, never a wait and no margaritas here …

I knew the food was good when the parking lot was almost empty on a Sunday. The waiter was super friendly, and the food was great. The salsa was amazing ? homemade flour tortillas. 10/10
