The food had more of an out the box from freezer taste. It didn’t taste seasoned. Loved the pickle relish and customer service was great. I will rate the food 3/10

I love their Cajun fish and if I’m in the area I will stop by. Definitely hate the owners decisions to close majority of the locations down? I miss the Waxahachie location I can remember eating there as kid and grown up! Why? They don’t make true fresh hot Catfish anymore.. Please consider this review

DO NOT EAT HERE THE FISH IS SPOILED AND THE MANAGER KNOWS IT. THEY HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO THE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT. CRISTINA STATED THAT SHE WAS THE MANAGER. She Nastyand rude giventhat this restaurant gave my family Food poisoning. continues to post signs regarding Exact change as if they don’t have the duty of giving change like any other business. The US Treasury Department is open for business. We are no longer in Covid restrictions therefore givrn there is no excuse Not to provide change when cash is being used. Or being forced to pay with credit card to avoid them keeping your money. Furthermore this is a franchise.

It’s never open! Not real catfish. This place needs to be closed immediately! Its11:31 and the store isn’t open. I only came to this place cause it’s walking distance and someone has my car! If you’re not serving the hood get out of it!!!

Been going to Catfish King for years!!! The best catfish in town. Not the best location, in my opinion. But, it has never stop me from getting my Super Catch.

I have lived in Dallas since 1975, and Catfish King has always been a staple in the southern area. Of course, things were much better then. You got whole fillets and fresh fries, and the hushpuppies were nice and crispy. It was a much better time to have Catfish Friday.
Now, the Catfish King that is still open has different ownership, and the food is nowhere near as good as it used to be. The catfish (if it is even catfish) are now strips and dry, the fries are day-old, and the famous hushpuppies are limp. It was a waste of money because I couldn't eat it and didn't feel like driving back up there (I don't live close). Oh, and the shrimp were a hard pass—no seasoning on anything, and there was a strange aftertaste. It was terrible. No wonder there were only two cars in the parking lot, which probably belonged to the people working there.
I normally wouldn't be so harsh, but that restaurant has been in the community for well over thirty years, and it's heartbreaking to see how run-down and nasty the food is. I will not be returning.

This place is going down. It's not like it used to be 30 years ago. The bean tastes like ranch style beans, and the cornbread muffins are bland. I remember this place use to be crowded. Now it's just hanging on.

I went through the drive thru and placed my order. I asked for a large pinto beans with my order, and when I received a small. She made excuses that she couldn't really hear me. I was like I'll pay the difference to get what I paid for. The lady was raising her voice at me, and kept repeating that she can't take card if purchase is under $5. I told her to give me a minute to gather my change. I wasn't allowed to use my card since difference was $1.08 They also keep changing the hushpuppies and they're getting smaller and smaller. Today reminded me why I haven't been in a while.

This place was clean with pleasant service by the catfish is cheap, frozen pre-made pieces with no seasoning. The reason this restaurant is not good is literally because of the food. I hope they upgrade their approach and put focus on delivery a better eating experience. Place was nice to sit in, fries and sweet tea was good. Stay away from the catfish and “hush puppies”

Excellent Food and Service Staff is Nice, we order food to go all the time and it is just as good in person. Staff treats customers like Family. One of my favorite restaurants in Dallas/Duncanville. It's only two people running the restaurant but they do their very best and provide very great service a hidden gem for real. :)
