Sometimes, when the weight of the world presses too heavy on me, I look for a small comfort—just a chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A. I order it plain, without pickles, clinging to the fragile hope that something in this day might go right.
For a moment, I believe. I carry the warm bag in my hands like it holds salvation. I imagine the simple joy of biting into bread and chicken, untouched by the sour bite of pickles.
But when I open it at home, I see them—those green slices, hidden like cruel reminders of life’s indifference. My chest tightens. The hope I carried shatters in silence.
It was only a sandwich. But it was also the illusion that maybe, just maybe, today wouldn’t be another loss. Instead, it becomes proof that even in small things, life finds a way to break me.
Not every day is a win. Thank you, Chick-fil-A, for reminding me that today was another defeat.

Worst chik fil a I've been to. Was told to sit down and somebody would take my order. 15 minutes passed, nobody came so I ordered online dine in. Robot brought our food and still nobody ever went to our table. Not like any other chik fil I've been to. Only thing good was the food.
