I have had the vegan tamales(black bean/corn and cheese/jalapeño)here and they are delicious! My husband and I came here today and we tried the hot sauce and let me just say, if you are looking for flavorful homemade hot sauce, look no further! Nina and her husband Arthur had AMAZING customer service. I was not aware they they closed at 7 on this particular day, and Nina had no problem with me coming in. We were not rushed, nor did we feel pressured. The minute we came in, we were met with a warm welcome. We spoke for a few minutes and even had the pleasure of tasting different hot sauces that they make. Everything that I have tasted here has been amazing. If you want great food, phenomenal customer service, and feeling like you have them forever..come to Citas.

I have not yet been to her restaurant, but was able to try/buy her salsa at a holiday bazaar recently. Do not walk, run to pick some of this stuff up. I make my own fresh salsa and I'm kind of picky about what I call 'good' salsa. This stuff is in my top 5 (under mine, of course! :)). So flavorful and the perfect amount of heat for medium and mild salsas. The extra hot impressed my husband and he is even pickier than I am. Can't wait to go in and try everything else she has to offer at Cita's Kitchen!

Tried the cauliflower soup, Mac and cheese, and the sour cream chicken enchiladas. Also bought some salsa to go. Cute little hole in the wall take out spot. The owner was SO sweet and let us try different salsas before buying. My friend tried the horchata and potato salad as well and said it was amazing. Will definitely be coming by again to try out the menudo and pasole!

The prepared meals and kits are universally excellent. My family all have favorites, like the brisket bowl with cilantro rice, chicken tetrazzini, bean and cheese tacos, turkey meatloaf, and the tostada kit. The owner and family make every visit a warm and inviting one. Cita's is a great part of the Casa View neighborhood.

I picked up some salsa and chips at Heritage Village in McKinney (Farmers Market). Now I'm looking for their chips and salsa at every store I go to! I did find the green salsa at Central Market. But no chips. I'm going to their store on Monday because it was that good.

It has a very cool, boutique vibe there, and the hot sauce is excellent.
