I stopped in here on a Wednesday for lunch. The dining room was full. The atmosphere is clean and cozy. The food is fresh and plentiful. I had a wonderful chopped salad with salmon, and tried a cup of their homemade cream of mushroom soup. Delish!!!! The iced tea is great, too. I look forward to future visits!!!

This has now become one of my go-to lunch places. They have healthy food choices, and they taste fantastic. The tomato soup was to die for and complemented the egg salad sandwich perfectly. I highly recommend City Cafe and will be returning.

Ran into the Bistro for a quick bite . Quaint little place off the highway but don't let it fool you . Inside you quickly realized this is a place for the wealthy , and actually had valet parking too ! Housewives , families and professionals lined the venue - it was like a movie . I ordered a chicken salad wrap from the cordial service member and was delighted when they brought it ! Nice size and tasty chicken salad . This seems like the "go to" deli for Dallas . Great place

Everything about this place is good but the parking. Lots of choices of good food. Also have takeout. Very popular!

Unfortunately the good food is outweighed by the employees that smoke and block the stairways to the rest of the building and floors. They sit in the middle of the stairs smoking cigarettes playing on their iPads and never feel the need to move when your walking up or down. I’ve seen young kids have to walk through clouds of smoke just to get to the second floor. The stairs aren’t smoke break areas for employees. City Cafe you should do better.

This is a very small plain diner. The food is hit and miss. For instance, the chocolate mousse cake was dry and tasteless. The food quality is cafeteria level. The management and staff are friendly.

Good local cafe. Friendly. NOTE: The FINE Dining restaurant is CLOSED. This is now just the casual cafe on the lower level. Upscale cafe with a good selection of fresh and healthy items. Great for takeout or casual sit-down lunch. Seems like a University Park staple where folks ALL know each other. Private club-ish. Friendly counter service with big display case of fresh options. Iced tea was really good. Bread was not as fresh, bummer. Good spot for locals for sandwiches, soups, salads. Prices match the higher quality food. Parking can be tricky, but there is a garage underneath. They need to figure out what to do with the old fine dining restaurant area. Sad that it is still closed. The food and friendliness are probably worth the 4.5 stars. My star deduction is due to the dry bread (that came with soup) and the slow food delivery. 12-15 Minutes is slow for counter order/table service. But most folks are in no rush, so I can see the 4.5. (Some of those 4.5 ratings came from the fine dining restaurant too.) If University Park had a private cafe, this would be it.

Came here one day for lunch with a friend. Got the City Club Cafe Sandwich with fries. The Sandwhich comes with Mayo smoked Turkey breast, applewood smoked bacon, avocado cheddar cheese, tomato & red leaf lettuce on sourdough bread. It was very good! For dessert I got the Blum’s caramel crunch cake. It was a little too sweet for my taste. But tasted like a coffee cake. For drinks we got the famous “teamon-ade” which was delish! The vibes are very “park cities/ highland park” if you know what I mean.

Amazing food and prepared carefully with attention to details. The steamed vegetables by the pound are an awesome way to get healthy. The baby heirloom beets are my favorite. They also have steamed broccoli. I add a little bit of cheddar to the broccoli and I have dinner! The toasted chicken panini with mozzarella and pesto is to die for!! Get it toasted!! I love my community in Dallas and am extremely protective of Texas. I’ve recently become a political strategist which is something my mother did for years. I don’t charge money for this. I love my state and country. GOD BLESS AMERICA!! ❤️??????❤️?????❤️

This place is a gem in Big D. Fresh tasty food, friendly staff. Great salads, sandwiches, and a few entrees. Good for takeout too, but comfortable to dine-in as well.
