Our go-to classic Chinese restaurant! The food is delicious and the portions are huge. We’ve tried the orange chicken, broccoli beef, moo shu pork, dumplings, crab rangoons, and egg rolls and they’re all so good, better than any other places I’ve tried in Dallas. Highly recommend!

Worst customer service ever the lady in the Front Literally charged me and said my car didn’t go through when the money clearly came out of my account. I also showed her that it came out of my account and she still did not believe Me right when walking in the door, she had an attitude and was on the phone with somebody else. Worst customer service I’ve ever had in a Cliff and I’ve lived here for so long. Don’t go there and waste your time. Or Money
This was the worst experience and customer service I have everrrrrrr received. I work in the service industry.
We usually love this place and I was so excited to sit here.
We order our dishes,
My boyfriend, he got the combination lo mein and I got the happy family.
Our order wasn’t read back to us at all,
Therefore, he received fried rice with his food, which is not a big deal. We asked her And the lady changed it for us.
We came specifically for the lunch special 8.99, Because we come here quite often, didn’t know that the happy family was only in one size, We were confused on why our tab was $30 so I asked for an itemized receipt.
Saw on the itemized receipt that it was $15 so then I asked her her if she can change it to the small and she told me there was only one size, I wish I would’ve known that especially when I pointed at the lunch special one. If she would’ve read off the order back to us, then we would have known And all of this could’ve been prevented.
I absolutely hate being fussy so I decided I’ll just eat it and take the rest home. Whatever no big deal mind you. I’ve never had the happy family so I wanted to try something new and I thought it was just absolutely disgusting. Mind you all their other food is great and if we didn’t have all the problems beforehand of already not getting the right order not being told that there was only one size. This was just the icing on the cake and I didn’t really appreciate it especially I barely ate any of the food I picked up maybe the three shrimp that were in the whole big plate and she told me that she can’t exchange it out or refund me because I ate three shrimp. She said if I would have said something earlier she could have exchanged it. So because I tried not to fuss and deal with it, you can’t exchange it when I ate THREE SHRIMP. Even if I took one bite of it and it was gross you would have had to do the same thing exchange it and throw it away it makes me question if they reuse orders that were wrong or messed up.
In my 10+ years in service industry I completely agree that the customer is not always right. And all I simply wanted was to get something else or get a refund. Either one I would’ve gotten a cheaper plate and you could’ve kept your money. Anything would’ve made the experience better. But the fact that you didn’t work with me, especially when all she did was in the wrong and all she had to do was repeat the order None of this would’ve happened.
All I have to say is I will not be comming back here again. Which sucks because I love this place.

I wish that they would serve lunch portions and not serve enough to feed 2 people.

Their staff is super friendly and welcoming, I have no complaints regarding their hospitality, however their food is mid. I think they need to look for a better cook. Their lo mein and fried rice is not comparable or at the level of other Chinese restaurants. It breaks my heart to write this.

My meat wasn't tender, and my vegetables weren't cooked. The soup was good and the egg roll was good.

Lady working the counter is very accommodating and friendly. I had only had their wonton soup before and I’m obsessed with it and I had their combination fried rice which I liked a lot as well. Today I had their hot and sour soup, my only reference was having hot and sour soup at the Hong Kong Garden on Hampton when I was a kid and I did not care for it, but City Kitchen’s is sooo good I loved it. I also had their combination lo mein and their noodles have more flavor than other places - I think they use a red wine sauce cause they look and taste like another place that I like the lo mein from.
