We truly had the most incredible experience on our wedding day with the CN Catering crew. We weren't sure what to expect with an in-house catering team with our venue but it truly surpassed every expectation. Our guests were practically licking their plates because the food was so good (and amazing portion sizes as well). Every single server was incredibly friendly and our guests can echo that sentiment. We have to give a big shout out to our bar tenders, we got so many compliments to how amazing they were, not only at pouring drinks but so kind and amazing energy.
Lindsay worked with us on our wedding day and she was so sweet and made sure if we ever needed something, she was on it in a snap.
We did have some communication things happen during the planning process happen just from some staff changes, but nothing world ending and it all got quickly resolved so that our wedding day was perfect.

From the outset, working with Brooke Taylor, the CN Catering representative, was extremely difficult. Meetings with her always felt rushed and one-sided—as if we had to accommodate her schedule rather than being treated as valued clients. She was consistently unaccommodating, dismissive, and lacking in basic courtesy, making the planning process unnecessarily stressful.
What made things even worse was the complete lack of transparency. We were blindsided by over $2,000 in additional fees that were never clearly discussed. For example, when we inquired about the earliest time we could access the venue, Brooke casually mentioned 3 PM—but failed to inform us that this would come with a $1,000 surcharge. She also added an extra police car to our invoice—another $1,000—without any prior discussion or consent. We received receipts with inflated charges for items and services that had previously been quoted at lower rates by another CN representative. It felt deceptive, as if we were being nickel-and-dimed at every turn.
Initially, we had been working with David Kilpatrick, who seemed courteous and responsive. Unfortunately, we were later passed off to Brooke Taylor—and that’s when things truly went downhill. On the actual day of our wedding, Brooke was sitting in the office sipping coffee while issues unfolded all around her. Some of the kids’ meals were mistakenly served to adults, and children were given adult meals. When I politely asked her to switch them, she glanced at a piece of paper, said “No,” and walked off.
I also asked for the Wi-Fi password to connect my laptop and was again met with a flat “No,” told to “ask someone else.” When we inquired about getting a carpet for the stage—since it had no covering—her response was, “That’ll be an additional $400,” with no willingness to offer help or alternatives.
The food itself was another major disappointment. We ordered two entrees and did not expect the portion sizes to be so shockingly small. On a table of 13 guests, they served only four walnut shrimps and four cheese balls as appetizers—an absurdly inadequate quantity that felt like a joke. The dinner rolls were stale and came with hard, frozen butter that was practically inedible. The food was not served properly or in a timely manner, and no effort was made to ensure the guests were satisfied.
Overall, Brooke was one of the most unprofessional and indifferent vendor representatives we encountered throughout our entire wedding planning experience. Her lack of communication, unwillingness to assist even on the day of the event, and overall dismissive attitude were shocking. At one point, I genuinely wished we had canceled the entire event and gone with someone else.
This was, without a doubt, one of the worst vendor experiences I’ve ever had. I would strongly caution anyone considering CN Catering to ask detailed questions, get every promise in writing, and, if possible, avoid working with Brooke Taylor altogether. What was supposed to be a joyful and memorable day was tainted by careless service, unfulfilled expectations, and blatant disregard for the customer experience.

What an incredible team and experience provided for our daughter’s wedding from Day 1-- nearly a year before the wedding. What a relief! The venue is fantastic and food prepared by Michael nothing short of amazing! Guest after guest commented on the venue, the ambiance, the vibe, the food, the attention to detail, and cleanliness throughout the entire night! The catering experience was incredible. Michael is great and very easy to work with, no matter what crazy idea and/or change you throw at him. Without a doubt, this team goes the extra mile. Disaster was avoided as “Dad” forgot to get a bottle of champagne for the “couples toast” to kick off the reception. Not to worry, one of the staff literally sprinted to the local store and was back with champagne before the toast was to begin, all without anyone realizing what had happened (minus the valet team who videoed the sprint—just exceptional).
