I'm not a fan of vegan food, BUT I AM NOW! IF YOU ARE EVER IN FT. LAUDERDALE, DEFINITELY CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! Eating this food really opened my eyes to try more vegan spots! I might be a vegan now!!

I want to clear up any doubts you may have from reading reviews. I was hesitant since there were some reviews that were negative about the food and service. We have been vegan for over 5 years so we were excited to try a new place. We ordered the Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich, the chicken fried chicken plate, the jackfruit tacos, the philly cheesesteak eggroll, a piece of red velvet cake and the brownie(since it was national brownie day!) Words do not give the food justice. Everything was DELICIOUS, but my personal favorites were the philly eggroll, the chicken & white cream homemade gravy(which I have not had since I became vegan) and the green beans are to die for. My husband loved the Popeyes chicken sandwich, fries(seasoned and delicious), tacos, philly eggroll and the brownie! The cakes were so moist and reminded me of the cakes I used to eat before becoming vegan....In other words, they were yummy! Everything is fresh made to order by the owner Angela. The ladies that worked there(I believe were nieces of Angela) were SO WELCOMING AND FRIENDLY. I kid you not, we had the best experience and some of the best vegan food in the DFW area. Whether you are vegan or not, you will NOT be disappointed. Next time we will try the brisket and wings! The menu is extensive, I never liked seafood before becoming vegan so we did not try any but if you like seafood there are many options. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be going back and we live an hour away. Thank you ladies for such a great dining experience.

Hands down the BEST vegan food I’ve had. I loved everything. I ordered a crab cake, with gumbo & a sweet potato pie cake & nothing missed a beat. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very laid back & the staff almost felt like family. Will be coming back for sure!

I’m not sure if it’s just her personality or not, but the lady taking orders need to talk to people better. It can really put a bad taste in your mouth trying a new place and getting talked to rude and walked away from mid-order. Food is good. Just be kind.

The food was very basic. The fish/seafood platter was tasty, the chicken sandwich was good, the blt patty melt was not a patty melt at all and really sad. Was also missing the bacon. Ordered strawberry cake, was told to get out of case, flavors not marked, only one kind. I’m guessing it was carrot, though didn’t have any carrots or nuts. It was soggy and kinda gross. I honestly wouldn’t have been very disappointed with the food if it had cost 1/2 what it did. Almost $90 for lunch for 4 of mostly processed, premade, mid flavor food has actually ruined my day. And the area was really sketchy and run down.

Just remember you are trying what someone else twist is on a dish to see if you like it enough to try and copy it or when you don't feel like making it yourself or like me can't cook a lick and solely depending on others ? What happens when you are spoiled daddy's girl and he gone to haven and now you gotta figure it out or find someone who knows. That's where Ms. Angie and her staff come in. They my adopted family. Like my mother would always remind me when I complain about her cooking anytime you can do better come on in the kitchen ??‍♀️

Da MunchiesThis is a small eatery with limited seating. This black owned and operated business is right across the Trinity River bridge?️? going into the Oak Cliff neighborhood. Just right off of Westmoreland and Canada Street. It's sitting in the far left corner of Westmoreland Park Plaza. You have to download the menu onto your mobile ?device. It is better for you to get familiar with the menu ?before you get on site. The menu is quite overwhelming. This is also a Daiquiri? Shop to go. The food is made fresh to go and their is a wide range of vegan selection to choose from on menu. Today I'm choosing to eat all the vegetables on the menu. Basically a vegetable ?????? sample platter. Also she's going to cook me a special made freestyle burger with fries ?. This is truly a hidden Jewel of a place inside the city of Dallas older neighborhood. First the six vegetables and sides were off the chain. Seasoned very well and delicious. Also try the fresh fruit ? ?? drinks they had in the refrigerator that were fresh and refreshing. Overall I would highly recommend this place?? to put on your list for eating vegan in Dallas on the go. Blessing to Ms. Angie my chef for this wonderful meal and Ms. Nikea who want me through all of my menu selections ??❤️

Hands down the absolute best vegan food I’ve ever had! I’ve been here a few times and I’ve never been disappointed.. I would go absolutely every day if I was closer and the traffic wasn’t so bad.. even if you are not vegan, you should definitely try this place. You would be happy you did and you get a great amount of food, they’re not stingy with your portions… I’m actually headed there now!

Loved the set up. We ordered Jack fruit taco, sweet potato cake, a fruit drink, vault cauliflower wings with a side salad and shrimp. The drink and sweet potato cake was sweet, a little too sweet for me but my daughter loved it. The shrimp had a pretty good consistency and was tasty. The cauli wings were seasoned just right and the jack fruit taco was yummy but salty. I usually cook at home with little salt, so I could be sensitive to taste.Customer service was quick and friendly and the seating area to eat was clean. No complaints overall. I would patronize again. Thanks again

Hands down some of the best vegan food i have had in a good little minute. This is a locally owned restaurant where you can tell they take their time in their craft making sure that their customers get the best quality vegan food. When you first try to food you'll be in disbelief that is vegan. Unlike other vegan spots sometimes the food can lack flavored they are so far from it at Da Munchies. I will save the food will take a little longer but it's so worth the wait. The hours are not the greatest but keep in mind that this is local own restaurant with not that many staff members. This is definitely a recommend for those who want to try some vegan alternatives to your everyday American fast food!

I had the seafood boil and oxtail, I found both to be a little to salty for me. Not bad great texture but too salty. The best thing I had was the jackfruit nuggets definitely a winner the shrimp was too. The oxtails, j*** tender, gumbo rice was to salty. I would suggest asking to put the gravy on the side. I was fairly impressed with the creativity of the food, but it’s not for me. I would go back for the nuggets they are fire! The customer service is amazing kind woman with bright smile.

No lie, best vegan food I've ever had. I've got more food allergies than you even want to know but I had the mozzarella sticks and jackfruit tacos and they did not disappoint. No allergy problems, delicious food, and excellent service. If I lived in Dallas I would eat here every day. Do not miss this experience. Angie, I hope you stay in business a long, long time. Ever think of coming to ft worth???
